So eye colour and ideology are the same thing now?
You know what separates Blood Elves and Void Elves by the same reasoning? Ideology. Oh, the Velves have blueberry skin but then I guess physical appearance and ideology are synonyms in your world.
It is a game, and unofficial art has clearly shown - not that it was needed because it was obvious to those with sense - that a potential High Elf race could look just as different as any other Allied Race reskin.
What, do LF Draenei look leagues and bounds different to the ‘parent race’?
What, do you people actually think all Blizzard would potentially do is only change the eyes to blue, and do NOTHING else? Yes it seems, because you always have to shore up your arguments with false assumptions.
In psychology a person who has a martyr complex, sometimes associated with the term “victim complex”, desires the feeling of being a martyr for their own sake, seeking out suffering or persecution because it either feeds a psychological need or a desire to avoid responsibility
imagine the argument for a horde race being so weak it hangs on by the thread of a blood elf(which is a high elf) customization option that makes sense
that thread just gave and this request just got exposed
I don’t think LF drae should’ve been an allied race, especially since they have next to nothing in terms of class diversity and are therefore a very weak AR ‘excuse’. They should’ve been additional Draenei customization options.
It IS a game, so I don’t know why people keep saying Blizzard is personally spitting in their face/spiting them by denying them helves. You are such a non-issue to them.
Alliance players wanting horde stuff doesn’t mean it’s better no more than horde wanting alliance stuff means It’s better, though or “favored by blizzard”
Players wanting to play horde doesn’t mean it’s blizzard favored, either. It means people prefer to play horde…
Alliance being bad at PvP also doesn’t mean they’re favored, it means alliance players prefer to PvE which is fine. Cute job posting on your horde main character though.
You mean things like non-comedy Allied Races? Equal amounts of story representation? As in choice in quests, some faction exposition, oh and perhaps just one full CGI cinematic to rally behind.
Maybe some decent acknowledgement that Horde completely dominate raiding? I think the fact that Horde do PvP more is a combination of the competitive tie in with high end raiding and the kinds of people who are naturally attracted to the agressive faction.
Even though of course “For the Horde!” is always heard in my mind now as a shrill Blood Elf shriek.
Oh and having ignorant devs taunt sections of the faction. That would NEVER happen to Horde.
Which is fine, but taking blood elves from the horde and putting them for a second time on the alliance is a bad idea in my opinion and personally think it was a mistake in the first place. Horde is horde and alliance is alliance, it should stay that way.
There’s no winning the HE fight for Blizz. If they do nothing, the pro-HE people will keep arguing and getting upset every time some other race is picked for the Alliance.
If they give BEs blue eyes the pro-HE fans will argue that it’s just Blizz mocking them and philosophy, not looks, are what matter.
If they give Alliance HEs as a separate race, the Alliance players that don’t care about HEs will be upset that they got another BE duplicate.
Personally, the only ARs that I think should be their own distinct race so far are VEs, NB, and Vulpera. VEs and NB since they’re on the other faction from their core race and Vulpera since they’re actually a new race.
The rest should’ve been unlockable appearances for their base race. Once you complete the scenario to unlock them, you’d get a bar that lets you switch between the regular and allied models, similar to how male Orcs can change their hunch.
I feel like VEs could be supported in terms of ‘what makes them different enough to justify being their own selectable race’ due to some small things
namely the tentacles in their hair which look to be attached to something and uh
if your hair is developing tentacles because you got exposed to the void I have some pressing concerns in regards to your physiology and how the void is tampering with it.
That could be said for any discrete feature or potential feature in this game.
You could say the same thing about brown orc requests, for instance.
The whole ‘it’s a game’ argument doesn’t wash with me son, because a ‘clever’ person often falls back on such arguments-- it’s a way of saying ‘Uuh I don’t want to engage anymore so I’m just going to say something nonsensical in the context.’
Yeah because awesome dark iron dwarves are so comical, or a race that a large portion of their story revolves around. Alliance players not liking their own story =/= mean its bad or worse than the hordes somehow…
Yeah a whole eye customization added based around one of their characters becoming a super duper person, Jaina flying a giant magical ship and getting her own amazing song for her…just SO horde sided.
Maybe how alliance allied races have some of the best racials in the game while horde racials across the board were being nerfed and allied races racials nerfed before they went into beta, during, AND after…
Or maybe the bee mount that ONLY alliance players can get?
Or maybe the 8 weeks of heroic raiding ilvl gear only alliance players could get…?
How is player choice somehow Blizzard’s or anyone else’s fault…?
How dare the devs joke around about their game! Serious business ONLY!!!
If I wanted to not engage anymore, I’d make it very apt and be upfront with it
but put words in my mouth/intentions in my mind and go off I guess
since you seem to be more a master of me than I am of myself.
Yeah, alliance only getting a bee mount is so horde favoritism…jaina getting an epic amazing song written for her is SO horde favoritism…alliance getting 8 weeks of heroic ilvl gear is SUCH horde favoritism…alliance literally having to play half as much to get the same progress is SUCH horde favoritism.
