Can the devs confirm that there was a Bloodvine nerf as far as drop rate? Been farming all morning, no Bloodvine.

with rare drop items the smart play is to buy the item and recover your gold through a more reliable method.
it beats just farming an unreliable drop.

Yeah but it wasnt a rare drop at all. It was around 20% drop rate from herbs on launch day.

I mean its w/e now, when it dropped to less than 30g today it made the farm on par with other methods
once it hits 20g, its no longer worth

There are times that 20% is 0%.
RNG is a beech.
If you played on private servers chances are its lower from there where drop rates were basically guess work off existing documentation online. We saw the same thing happen with DM:E where drop rates were significantly lower than private servers. Turned out in that case Blizzard had nerfed drop rates about half way through vanilla and private servers just had it wrong.
Bloodvine is already tanking in price anyway the only people willing to pay the insane prices people were selling it for last week are those who either had thousands of gold lying around or just could not wait to get their bloodvine sets.

this morning before the 12pm reset i got 4 per run , getting about 12-14 herbs, after the reset i did 4 runs and got 0 bloodvine. I’ve never had a run have no bloodvine. i took about a 1 hour break and went back in and i’ve been getting 2 or so per run… maybe its luck? or maybe it was a slight stealth nerf? not sure but doesn’t feel good. especially considering it’s a farm anyone/any class can do as long as you have herbalism and a buddy and it won’t last forever.
I can’t confirmed but i did have 9 bloodvines from 5 resets on Thursday last week, tried again yesterday after we cleared on Sunday and got 0 in 4 resets. So it’s safe to say they did something to it.
The drop rate is 5%.
When I was farming last week I’d get between 0-4 bloodvine in my route. A lot more 0’s then 4’s for sure.
I’m also seeing a lot less bloodvine. Over 20 plants herbed and finally got one today.
it’s 5% droprate. sounds to me like you’re experiencing 5% droprate.
Pretty sure there are multiple versions of onyxia.
Sometimes she breathes more, sometimes you get 2-3x as many whelps at the start of phase two, sometimes she just chain fears.

The drop rate is not 5% for herbs. I think you’re thinking of elites. For example, Dreamfoil has a much higher bloodvine drop rate, probably around 20-40% (at least before today).

Definitely it is. First day, 8. Yesterday, 3 full stacks of herbs including mountain silversage and dreamfoil, not a single bloodvine. Today 10 runs, nothing.
I think they nerfed resetting the instance
RNG just being RNG
If Bloodvine was say a 20% drop from herbs across the board that doesn’t mean if you don’t get one from the first herb that you now have a 40% chance for one on the second.
