Bloodtalons feedback (as I do not have alpha)

Bloodtalons on alpha looks very clunky, requiring a high energy cost combo of shred/rake/trash in a very short window. I understand the desire to decouple it from casting regrowth or entangling roots but it limits the abilities you can beef up (even though in most use cases it’d be on rip and bite anyway.)

What if Bloodtalons was instead changed to its on unique ability that did damage roughly equal to a shred, granted the current Bloodtalons buff, and was only castable after using a finishing move. Give it a 20% chance per combo point to be useable like pred swiftness, and a guaranteed proc after entering combat for the 1st time to allow application of buffed abilities in the opener (ICD on this bit to prevent pvp abuse?) This removes the “awkward” feeling of casting a heal or crowd control to boost damage.

As someone who mained feral from Wrath through Legion; Bloodtalons is something I’d like to see stick around. The spec very clearly needs work beyond this single issue and I hope it gets the attention it needs on alpha. I’m hoping feral will feel good enough to play that I can return to it in Shadowlands.

I wouldn’t worry about the ICD, it’s hard enough to get re’s as feral often enough in arena that it wouldnt be an issue. Even nelfs could only get an extra buffed rip every 2 minutes

It’s got me wondering if they’re doing it that way to shoehorn feral druids into the nightfae covenant.

"Convoke the Spirits Call upon the Night Fae for an eruption of energy, channeling a rapid flurry of 16 Druid spells and abilities over 4 seconds. You will cast Moonfire, Wrath, Regrowth, Rejuvenation, Thrash, Rake, Shred, and Ironfur on appropriate nearby targets, favoring your current specialization.

4 sec Channel, 2 min cooldown."

Either way I don’t like it, I prefer our current iteration of bloodtalons with 2 charges on regrowth, though I wish they would make regrowth castable while in catform.
