just a quick question for you all. how is blood dk in casual pvp? arenas, random bgs, wpvp, duels, etc. I am semi-new to dk and have been wanting to try blood for pvp. do you any of you guys have good recommendations of a blood pvp spec? talents? leggo?

I watch Para, and he has some fun blood pvp gameplay. I wouldn’t bring it to arena, but it seems super fun in battlegrounds just 1v3ing at an objective.
As for the actual viability, I have no idea, but I know the general consensus is that it’s the single most frustrating spec in the game to duel against because neither of you get anywhere for a really long time.
Plus the runeforge that increases death strike damage and heals you when you get low can further add to the cheese.
It is fun in casual pvp. Best I’ve found is:
Rune of Sanguination + Deaths Certainty leggo. Can get huge Death Strikes (Crimson Rune Weapon is good too but there is a talent to reduce DRW by 50% already).

-Withering Plague
-Insatiable Apatite
-Meatshield
-Chilled resistance

Pvp talents:
-Last Dance

*Will take Heartbreaker, Relish in Blood, Rot and Wither, and Grip of the Dead together to get more out of the legendary. Otherwise I like the burst of the Blooddrinker build with Strangulate.

I’m having a blast on my DK as Blood in casual pvp. The damage is not great, but it’s hilarious being a disrupting force. Kinda like how I play rogue; not necessarily there for killing, but the shenanigans you can pull to confound the enemy for a while while the people in conquest gear do the real damage brings a smile to my soul.
theoretically speaking how high death strike can crit with this rune+lego? lets say ilvl290-300 are we talking 7.5k? 10k? 12.5k?
You can get 30k-40k plus if things line up well.
One thing that is really fun for fighting 2 people at once, use the pvp talent that chains them together so 20% damage is shared between them. Pop slappy hands and watch the insane cleave ontop of even higher DS since u also do 20% more damage with unity.

Basically I just try to lock down the battlefield for the enemy as much as possible.
