Blood Knight Tabard Removed?

Could not for the life of me figure out why my transmog was not working on my human paladin earlier today, I was mashing apply and it would not apply. So under closer inspection I see that my Blood Knight Tabard is red (indicating I should not be able to equip it) so being the idiot I am I unequipped it to find that when I tried to put it back on I would get an error saying(and I am not being dramatic) “You can never wear that item”.

I hope blizzard did not actually take dev time out of the game to go back and hotfix me being able to wear this tabard… if that is the case can I please get some clarification so I can quit this game? thank you.

As far as I know you were never able to apply the Blood Knight tabard, you’d have to actually wear it. It never even appeared in my transmog tab as alliance.

I’ll try it later tonight but I’ve never been able to actually transmog it, was only able to wear the actual thing but since that didn’t work maybe they did fix it. Try relogging or deleting the tabard and getting it again the same way you did before on an alt.

No I dont mean Transmog TO it, I wear it all the time and I transmog OVER it when I want to use another tabard. It wasnt letting me transmog OVER it and thats how I found that it wasnt allowing me to wear it period, where as before 8.1.5 I was able to equip it and take it off no problem.

Did your human pally torture a naaru for his powers? No? Then he shouldn’t be wearing that tabard.

Yeah I’m not sure. I’ll give it a shot tonight and edit this post to let you know what happens.

Maybe it’s finally fixed to where silly humans can’t wear it anymore.

Your Paladin should never have been able to wear it in the first place. The Blood Knight tabard was a tabard given only to Blood Elf Paladins after doing a specific class questline. Since the questline was removed it became available through the tabard vendor in Orgrimmar for Horde, but never for Alliance. I don’t even see how you could physically have that tabard as Alliance. Are you sure you’re not talking about the Scarlet Crusade tabard??

There was a bug you could exploit to get it on ally. My guess it’s been hotfixed.

“blood knight” tabard seems pretty… specfiic… about which race gets to use it. and certainly not a human. lol.

I’ve had mine for years but it can no longer be equipped. Glad to see Blizz focusing on the important stuff lol.

exactly LMAO the game is in shambles and they are hotfixing me wearing a tabard THAT THEY LITERALLY GAVE ME. Yea I cant wear the tabard all of the sudden because it breaks lore but every expansion our “world saving” Heroes forget how to fly.

For those who dont know how to get the tabard on alliance you literally do 2 pally quests starting in SW and then you can purchase the tabard from the tabard vendor in IF, its not like I exploited the game to get this tabard, you’ve been able to get it for several years now.

My human pally cant wear the blood knight tabard but we have Void Elves… give me a break.

Blood knights are a blood elf order of paladins

Are you flying enemy colors…friend?

I wonder if the whole “faction war” thing drove the decision to not let alliance pallies equip it anymore. I used to have a transmog that included me wearing that tabard and I really liked the fact that people would ask me how the hell I got it. It wasn’t a big deal, but it was a little extra fun.

I’m confused why are you upset over them fixing a long time bug? Yeah I guess it could have been done a while ago but they did a few of these kind of “bug fixes” this patch.

They’re doing a bunch of unannounced cosmetic changes with each patch, like how Dwarves had a bunch of plate helms opened up to accommodate their beards. My Blood Knight tabard was reverted to a guild tabard as early as 8.0, I’m not sure how you kept yours for so long without it turning into a guild tabard.

I was wearing mine, im not sure if that had anything to do with it but when patch 8.1.5 hit the tabard remained the same but turned red indicating I could no longer wear it, I mistakenly took it off at that point only to realize I could not put it back on. Still sad to see blizzard go back and make completely pointless changes like this one when the game itself could use a full blown make over.

whoever believes that any race shouldn’t be able to wear that tabard is ridiculous.
for eons, victors in war have stolen the clothes gear and weapons of the fallen. there is no reason why any faction, race or class should be restricted from wearing that tabard.
