Frankly, even though I am a pro playable Alliance high elf person, I wouldn't care if blood elves got the blue eye option either....LF draenei and now blood elves can both have golden eyes, and void elves have blue eyes, so 'meh'...the more character customization the merrier say I.

10/21/2018 06:11 PMPosted by AriƫlNo Fel powered Sunwell dude, so Helves living far away from the influence of the crystals supporting the buildings make sense not having fel green eyes.
On the other hand, the Outland Helves SHOULD HAVE fel hgreen eyes but they suspiciously don“t have them, and me thinks this is not by lore reasoning but merely by gameplay (I mean the devs consider the average player a moron unable to distinguish of political affiliation if the model is shared; ergo High elves in Allerian Stronghold have blue eyes cause reasons and Alleria didn“t had fel green eyes in Argus before sucking the Dark Naaru for the same reasons: gameplay).
High elf NPCs should develop the golden eye sickness too then, if Holy being holy si the lone reason for it being manifested in the eyes of the elves. But fact ius, it isn“t; ergo everything points to golden eyes being the consequence of professional/job exposure more likely than "holy overrides fel and arcane and everything!!".
Honestly we can only look at the presented facts, and if you believe that Outland High Elves have Blue Eyes by mistake then IDK. We can only extrapolate speculation from the presented facts, and if you just dissmiss the ones that don't fit your theory then It's just not believable.
High Elves in Outland still have blue eyes, that's the fact unless retconed, ergo, the reason BE have green eyes cannot be merely the precense of Fel. Blood Elves used fel power sources to restore their civilization. We already have a marked contextual difference so to simply dismiss Outland HE's blue eyes is unnecessary tbh.
If all it took for Blood Elves to get golden eyes was to be connected to the Suwell, every BE would have golden eyes by now.
If it was only related to specific light usage, then only Paladins and Priests would have them, instead, everyone can.
Or, everyone that sucks directly from the Sunwell can get Golden Eyes, so it could be about active siphoning rather than exposure/radiation.
But if that were true and it really just depended of personal usage, Blue eyes should already be possible, but they aren't, so barring an outright retcon, there has to be an explanation for it.
Hence all the theories proposed. And personally, none of my theories outright dismiss the appearance of Blue Eyes, instead presenting the notion of a "staggered" appearance.
But yeah, with the presented evidence, Blood Elves COULD have Blue Eyes, but that doesn't mean they definitely SHOULD. That's more wishful thinking than interpretation of evidence, and that is fine and all, but we are nerding about the lore here after all.

This is my opinion across the board for everything regarding customization. I'm all for giving players more choices when it comes to their characters, not limit them.
10/21/2018 04:46 PMPosted by MithrandysIām still in the purple eyes boat tbh
Because I do believe that asking for blue eyes is sorta stepping on the shoes of high elfers (doesnāt mean Iām opposed to it)
Maybe something similar to the night elves? Where itās like a ritual or quest line leading to it.
I don't really see how it's stepping on any toes considering blood elves are the main playable high elves and really should be able to sport the blue eyes. Were it going to be a thing on alliance they'd really not have gotten void elves. Probably won't really be a ritual considering the Night Warrior was a pretty specific thing (which kinda shoulda been written better but it is what it is now,) where blue would just start appearing again.
Looks like we'll cap soon, might have to prep another thread if we don't get an extension!

Blood Elves are High Elves and they're on the Horde, blizz doesn't do neutral races anymore so nice try.
Well that's strange, I could have sworn the only blue eye high elves I've seen in the game are Alliance friendly. If you want to be called high elves then you might want to open your eyes to which faction they're actually on.

Blizz hasn't taken a core race (and the blood elves are high elves) then made them neutral and they won't.
Whatever the Alliance has that isn't PLAYABLE doesn't matter. Blue eyes as an option would be easy to implement, effect the most people, and has a basis in not only the races history but is seen on NPCs and in their heritage questline and beyond. The Sunwell is both holy and arcane so it's only a matter of time.
Alliance got void elves specifically so that they wouldn't give the Alliance a playable Horde race.
blue eyes = DKs

You are really desperate to make this brain dead argument of yours work, I do commend your effort though but as some others have said High Elves are on the Horde.

Isn't honestly much worth worrying about. Remember, it's Blizzard who makes the decision and is the judge of what goes on. And Blizzard has confirmed what we know, if you want to be a fair skinned high elf the Horde has that option.
We just have to ask to see if they'd like to add blue eyes like what was remarked on during the Q&A.
It is my sincere hope that this becomes an option one day and just seeing new customization for any of the older races period is quite wonderful. With all that's out there for transmog and new options being added you can really look quite amazing in game especially for one that is as old as WoW is!

I think separating faces and eye color would be a good step. They could do it for all races that have multiple eye colors when they give belves blue eyes ^_^

It's nice that they did it with the blood elf heritage scenario so it could definitely be something they do with every race as they move forward for those that make sense, like Night Elves!
Specially in addition to the Night Warrior stuff and the warfront that is coming.
I know I am super late to the party here but I really want to thank everyone thus far who has posted in this thread to show support! You're all great people and I really appreciate like you wouldn't believe.

I am super hyped for Blizzcon!
Don't forget to ask your BElf related questions!
With the newly arisen Lorash there is potential for red eyes/grey skin for us if we ask. >w<
Oh! I forgot to include this but with newly risen Night Elves there are more customization options there for them as well potentially in the future. >w<
The undead NElf's didn't exactly seem to be 'forsaken' by their brothers and sisters in 8.1, in fact they seemed more sad for them if anything so far so I could see them returning to the Alliance at some point.

I'd personally settle for blue eyes, Lorash seems to be a one off/dark ranger kinda deal. He's so angry, though!

The difference between us and them is that we ask, they demand as long as we stay civil then there shouldn't be any problems. ^_^
I actually had a bunch of HElfers report me once for this subject, so much so the automated system gave me a slap on the wrist but it only lasted half an hour or so cause the Mod was like "Um wtf" but you know in a professional way. xD
I just find it interesting that Lorash was raised when Lorthemar had specifically stated that Sylvanas wouldn't raise any BElves like at all. I'm looking forward to how strained that relationship is and he isn't a dark ranger which makes it extra interesting.

Not the first time it's happened and probably won't be the last but I wouldn't let it bother you, just explain what happened and those that do the mass reporting will eventually get the backlash as they break forum rules. They can be upset we're asking for something all they'd like but it's really up to Blizz to decide what to do, it's not like it's a new idea either.

Yea, a lot of fertile storytelling there but I wonder if Lor'themar/etc won't know of it right away or at all depending on what happens to Lorash after his ressurection. It could just be swept under the rug, wasn't like she wasn't already raising/killing Horde troops at Lordaeron which would have included blood elves. Obviously a might different since Lorash isn't a skeleton, but I think Lor would have had issues either way.
