Blood Elf Customization Desires Thread

I want rather regal-looking hairstyles, long hair…HECK! The Male Blood Elves have a few longer hair styles that aren’t available to females!

I love all of these suggestions OP.

Please just give Blood Elves something, so it doesn’t feel like we are playing a pretty princess dress up sim.

As someone with at least two Blood Elf toons, I’d like to request that we don’t receive the blue eyes. It’s immersion-breaking and the slots would better be used to include options that better match Blizzard’s established lore and aesthetics for Horde elves.

As someone with seven blood elf toons, I’d like to directly contend this view. We should absolutely have the blue eyes since it follows the lore laid out expansions and years ago.

No, blue eyes are a distinctly Alliance trait. The lead dev even came out a week before and said “not gonna happen” before his inconsistent, nonsensical reversal.

Blue eyes were always said would return by devs. Just that it would take time.

The only nonsensical inconsistent reversal was the lead dev messing up the lore and claiming the blue eyes made no sense.

No! Blue eyes were the original eye color Blood Elves had, even AFTER they left the Alliance of Lordaeron. The first Blood Elves of Silvermoon, including Kael’thas Sunstrider, and even Lady Liadrin, ALL had BLUE EYES! This was in a time where they left the Alliance, because of the Human traitor, Garithos. So, NO! Blue eyes ARE NOT an Alliance trait!

Coming from a Night Elf, who has arguably gotten the most customization so far in alpha aside from humans, I’m surprised you don’t think Belf customization even compares

Thalassian elves are an Alliance race in the first place, and blue eyes have been used to identify them as different from Horde elves for the entirety of WoW. It just ain’t right to suddenly give the Horde an Alliance thing. Creepy red eyes to allow the Dark Ranger look would be far more fitting

You apparently NEVER played through the Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne campaigns, nor have completed the Blood Elf Heritage Armor questlines…else you’d know Blue Eyes are NOT an Alliance thing! This was at a time AFTER the Blood Elves LEFT the Alliance! The reason their eyes changed to Green is because of Arthas and his Scourge army, corrupting, and nearly destroying the Sunwell, to begin with, and thus, the Sunwell was corrupted, and gave the Blood Elves their Green Eyes. Blue Eyes simply meant they were Arcane Magic users to begin with. It has NOTHING to do with Factions, be they Alliance OR Horde!

You obviously only began playing after WoW came out. There’s no reasoning with people who only know retcons.

I’ve been playing Warcraft 3 since LONG BEFORE World of Warcraft launched, thank you very much. So, NONE of this was retconned. It just wasn’t implemented in-game, until Shadowlands…even Dev’s stated over the years, that Blue Eyes would return!

The Alliance doesn’t own the color blue. There are blue eyed Orcs, Goblins and Tauren as well. Belves should have red, but can have blue too.

Actually, you’re the “joker” here!

You know blood elves are still Thalassian elves right? We even still speak the language.
