To compensate to the identity blow Blood Elves have taken with the character customization added to void elves (that make void elves virtually indistinguishable from blood elves), Blizzard should revert arcane torrent back to its original design of AOE silence+mana drain.
-It was fitting to the race lore/fantasy.
-Blood elves were the only race to ever get such a heavy nerf/redesign to a core racial ability.
-I think the nerf was never justified to begin with, and was a classic blizzard sledgehammer solution.
-I do not doubt that arcane torrent usage went down 80-90%+ after the nerfs. Why did a race suddenly become unanimously weaker and stop using their racial ability as often in combat? It doesnt seem justified from a gameplay POV or a lore POV.
-To stop trivializing certain raid mechanics with stacking BE (and creating raid faction imbalance), simply make all raid mobs immune to the silence from arcane torrent.
-It was strong in PVP, but it was not broken.
By reverting arcane torrent to its original design, playing a blood elf can feel like playing a blood elf in the most traditional sense.
