The bdk armor buffs have been coming for nearly 3 years and have never changed blood dks damage taken profile meaningfully. Surely it’s more justifiable to just undo some of the heavy handed blood shield, death strike, or parry nerfs instead? especially looking towards a tank like Brew who dodges more than bdk parrys by a huge margin.

Agreed. Honestly Death strike is the only one that matters. The spec is so horribly designed that literally the entire spec is just death strike and they way they have it so overtuned right now, It is frustrating. it is crazy. i can solo some keys on 10 without even needing the healer to touch me. Matters of fact I have done it multiple times the last 2 days because my Blood DK is completely bugged and can’t be targeted by party members for some reason. But some dungeons it is just impossible to keep yourself alive. especially caverns.
Also bone shield is so horrible right now and it is especially glaring this week as when the affix spawns in mythic+, It is dispelling my boneshield charges. This leaves me completely naked basically even if I have just finished stacking it to 12. next thing you know I get freaking slammed by whatever I pulled and have to expend the runes to build it back up all over again.
So here we sit. We basically don’t even have a kit. We literally just have deathstrike and an overtuned horrible version of it at that.
Something needs to change.

Take my comment with a grain of salt, but the only tanks I’ve seen that are even remotely competent and don’t get erased in 10+ keys are blood dks and brew monks. Prot warr and pally are straight trash.
it’s got to be taken player by player. I play heals also and I have seen some pretty bad blood dk that can’t seem to understand how to play it in a higher key. And when I try to give them tips they get all angry so I just let them do whatever.
These patch notes are insulting, bandaid changes, no real survivability buffs, no bug fixes , no boneshield management for sanlayn. At least we know that’s not AI who does the changes because AI would do a better job.

I’m not the only one? I thought I was losing my mind trying to figure out what was wiping my BS stacks. The Belf thought it was arcane torrent…. I’ll look at the affix and see if that’s what’s doing it.
