Blood DK feedback

Are there any plans to do anything about the state of BDK?

Currently feels like you are just spinning plates on top of plates and trying to no let any of them fall while doing everything you are supposed to do as a tank in keys.

Coagulopathy while trivial during single target, in huge packs where you are expected to interrupt, displace, etc feels like a burden to keep at 5 stacks. Even better if you can do that while keeping it going for the next pull. Rotational deathstrike feels bad. But good damage feels great. Suggestions:

  • Suggestion 1 - Make Coagulopathy not stack and just a maintenance buff like the others we have. This removes how punishing it is when it drops;
  • Suggestion 2 - Increase buff duration to 10 seconds to match Icy Talons;
  • Suggestion 3 - Add Heart Strike to coagulopathy, maybe it only adds 3 seconds instead of 8 like Death strike. This would fix the entire Vampiric strike windows for San’layn too.

The bloat, yes its great having access to things like Soul Reaper and finally having Bonestorm and Consumption being usable and strong but man, the bloat is insane, especially with Deathbringer on top of the above mentioned Coagulopathy.

San’layne has other problems, its great that it moved away from Vampiric Blood that, while perfectly themed, felt bad using a defensive CD as an offensive CD. It needs more work tho, It’s convoluted and the rng with Blood Beast makes or break the spec, defensively is much weaker than Deathbringer. Do something about it.

IF you really want to, maybe add one of the suggestions for Coagulopathy to San’layn and keep it as is for Deathbringer, would fit thematically and would let people choose what playstyle they prefer, spining plates or not. But for sure Blood beasts need to be more often, and less variance. and we need more tankyness with San’layn.

Please don’t let BDK fall in into a dead zone again, the visual team did such a wonderful job with Deathbringer but its so behind other tanks when it comes to keys and that’s really sad while requiring much more work, more convoluted rotations and buff managements than any other tank.
