Hello everyone,
I just recently attempted to go back to farming for the saber mount and got “Blood-Caked Copper Coin” instead of “Copper Blood Coin” which is what I’m used to from p1/p2. The vendor in the Gurubashi Arena only seems to take the blood caked type now and I’m wondering:
- What’s the difference between the coins?
- Is there somewhere to exchange my old coins for the new ones?
- Are my old coins now useless and do I have to start over?

I believe there is a vendor at ZG island you can either convert ur coins or get some stuff. Been a while since I been there.
I’ll check the island you turn bijous in and see if that’s perhaps what you mean.4
Here’s the answer for anyone that had the same questions. The old type of currency: “Copper/Silver/Gold Blood Coin” can be turned into Zalgo the Explorer on Yojamba Isle. The vendor at the Gurubashi Arena is the one that will take the Blood-Caked Coins for level 60 gear or to purchase the mounts with that currency instead of the original coins. Based on this, I assume you can’t combine the two different currencies.
I think new coins can be converted to old coins, but you for sure can’t convert old coins to new coins.
The reason did this is they didn’t want people stocking up on old coins in previous phases and then purchasing all the new stuff immediately using old coins.
I’m not sure if the vendor on the island still sells the old STV mounts but if he does, then you could convert new coins into old coins and get one of the old mounts.
If you want one of the newer mounts your coins can’t be used towards it.
