Blood Caked Tiger Mount from Bloodmoon Events

I feel like paying 2g worth of the currency plus 800 gold for this is ridiculous. Let us trade in our old BM mount plus the 2 gold for this mount since we already paid the toll for this mount, its only a visual upgrade. Atleast reduce the cost for people with the phase 4 version of the mount or something. I wouldn’t have bought that one if I knew yall would just make a new way cooler looking one a couple months down the road. It is what it is though…

I don’t think its necessarily unreasonable, especially with how quickly farm groups were getting coins back in Bloodmoon. Boomkin groups were netting massive gains from Bloodmoon as well as mage groups. You could see a gold after a few games, wasn’t very hard to obtain lol.

If you read my post, I’m talking about the 800 gold. “Trade in our old BM mount plus the 2 gold for this mount”. I know how the event works especially on Boomkin since that’s been my main since phase 2.

Yeah I read it. I’m not aware if anything changed compared to the way the last Bloodmoon mounts were upgraded, but I feel the gold cost is fair especially with how easy it was to obtain the coins for the base versions of the mount. People should have to pay the same 800g cost as anyone else that wants an epic mount.

SMH. Let me break this down to you, I’m saying if someone already took the base version of the mount and ugraded it to the epic version of the Saber Cat which cost 800 gold plus the level 40 version of the mount, then they should be able to trade that mount in ( the one I already paid 800 gold for) plus the 2 gold worth of the bloodmoon coins for this mount.

I paid 800 gold for the bloodmoon mount so why should i have to pay another 800 gold for a mount with a different look from the same event I obviously grinded a lot.

I think its a fair trade off to trade my 800 gold sabercat plus 2 gold worth of this repurposed currency for the new blood caked version. Obviously the devs were cool with this when upgrading this same mount 2 phases ago so changing this would seem like normal progression for people who already bought an 800 gold raptor or sabercat. Not charging them another 800 gold for a visual upgrade.

Note this would only apply to people that had the old epic version of this mount not a fresh 60 without the original epic bloodmoon mount.

He’s not saying he wants a free epic mount.
He’s more than inclined to PvP for the 2 Blood-Caked Gold Coins.
He wants the 800g price to be removed as this is simply just a slightly altered version of the Saber Cat that he already purchased.
I agree with him.
The Raptor is a completely redesigned Raptor.
The Cat took minimal time for them to change and shouldn’t cost what it does.

Ahhh, that makes a little more sense. I appreciate the clarification, wasn’t completely understanding it in the original post.

I feel like there is a little more of a difference between the two, at least in terms of the cat mounts, but I can see where you’re coming from with it. I loved the golden sabercat mount but I refused to upgrade it because they literally added nothing to the epic version, it was just a lazy upgrade. If they would’ve added armor I would’ve upgraded immediately :joy:

Worgen hunter retail brain

Why would you want to change your unarmored (thus superior) mount?

Cata classic but oui

Yah, the gold sink is just dumb

I was thinking the same. Another 800g is quite a lot to ask. I was actually hyped to farm them both as I enjoy the event but not if I have to pay that much.
Guess they want another gold sink.

Basically makes them unattainable for a casual that uses raid consumes on 2 toons weekly.
