Hate to be THAT guy but unless you have family there, I don’t think you should really have an issue.
Not saying war isn’t a tragedy, just saying that maybe we should follow what most people say and not have to police the world.

There are people in Russia who were protesting the war just a few days ago. If you think people are brave over here for protesting, it’s nothing compared to Russia. The police duties in Russia over lap with military duties. MVD or the police are highly respected by the government and could probably get away with anything they wanted to. These people protesting would likely be looked at as a traitor and their actions would be greatly frowned upon. It is a mistake to assume you know the mindset of the people of Russia. To group everyone into a generic “Russian Basket” and call everyone over there unfit for Wow is an over dramatic emotional reaction to the horrors of war.

Ukraine still has electricity. I heard a day or so ago their internet has been restored via Starlink.
You can see what’s going on using Kyiv’s live camera.
The burned out vehicles seen along roadsides are all late 70s vehicles.
It’s not a slaughter. It’s not war, it’s an operation. It’s very tactical, with specific targets and the Ukrainian people are not the targets.
Anyway, just my take.

Never ever rely on US…the country is not a reliable ally (no offense to US folks)
This entire mess is created by US because they were pushing Ukraine to become a member of Nato

So cool to hate on the US now. Yeah, they’ve done a lot of bad, but a lot of good as well.
I believe any country/civilization is capable of atrocities given the chance. Everybody else thinks they are angels at the expense of the “big bad guy”. Humans anywhere, anytime are capable of evil given the opportunity. Ghengis Khan, Mao, Pol Pot, to name a few. Anyway, so much to say on that topic.

If you feel that strongly about it, Ukraine is accepting foreign fighters. Maybe more constructive for Millennials to go there rather than changing their profile pictures to a flag of Ukraine.

If only Blizzard was on the moral high-ground like Onlyfans… I hope that one day they work themselves up to that level of morality and patriotism shared by the amateur adult-entertainment community but they clearly have a long way to go before then.
Agreed. If Apple can stop doing business in Russia, then so can Blizzard. Show some loyalty and patriotism for crying out loud.
I don’t know why we would keep giving them access to things they like from America. If they want to start a war, let them design their own MMORPG. Let them invent their own processors. Make them come up with their own social media sites. Block them from using American GPS satellites. Etc.

This is not true. People make up the military, it’s people that go on campaigns, it’s people that put on a uniform and are marching into Ukraine. The Russian people largely believe that the war is justified, just as largely the Chinese do as well, and it’s people that support Putin. Putin couldn’t do this without their loyalty.
Should Russians be blocked from WoW? Yeah, probably, and why not? When we put sanctions on a country, who are the people that are most effected? It’s the people, and that’s for good reason, it’s so that the government loses favorability and the war comes to an end.
No, he’s a problem, but not the problem. Does current Russia outlive Putin? Yes, it probably does. So, was he the problem? What happens if a favorable leader gets nixed? Well, they become a martyr of sorts, and THEN you have substantial issues, like an eventual world war. Again, the problem isn’t Putin, it’s the people. Putin might be taking actions that we think are terrible, he might even be a bit of a monster, but it’s the people that completely enable his actions, and after he’s removed, it’s the people that will go on campaigns in his name, ruining the world because that’s what people do.
