Increase the limit of the block list, and make blocks extend to the entire battle net account.
I’ve been playing this game a while, and 50 individual characters allowed on the block list, just doesn’t cut it. Reason being things like how earlier tonight, I invited a 2500’ish tank to my 19 COS key…this guy walks up and tries to pull the demonic council individually…by attacking the lieutenants themselves…bam! failed key. I asked him if he was legit trolling, and he replied “never knew if you could pull them that way, wanted to try”. Worst case scenario: He knew exactly what would happen and just hard trolled my key, Best case scenario: He really didn’t know (possibly bought his io score), and thought it was acceptable to throw someone elses key under the bus “for science”. Either way I had to make room on my block list for this guy because it was full and there’s no way in hell I ever want to deal with him again.

Every so often I have to clear up my block list, and I’ve taken to typing the names of the worst offenders (and reasons) into a notepad file, so I remember to leave them on there; but how long till I don’t even have room for that? If we were able to target a player character in-game, and block their entire battle net account from ever interacting with us again, it would be a huge improvement. Those players either change and stop being inconsiderate d-bags, or the list of players willing to interact with them continues to decrease, till they’re basically stuck solo playing, or having to create a whole new account. To prevent people from simply moving their characters over to the new account to circumvent this, simply make it so that if there were enough legitimate reports made against that account, the service will be unavailable to them.

I mean that’s the point right block people you don’t want to play with. I don’t see why not.

The measly ignore list we have is beyond stupid. Anyone who’s played any form of PvP or for more than a couple years would easily be hitting the cap. And the fact that it’s not true account wide ignore is especially stupid.

While i wouldn’t oppose a larger list, i can honestly count the amount of people i have on ignore with one hand, two tops. Maybe i just don’t get out enough into the wider community to make that many enemies lol

How bad are either you or the players your playing with? I’ve maybe added 4 people to my block list in the past 2 years

Isnt there an addon that does that ? I mean make you ignore many people .

Now i sometimes wonder how the hell i dont get into these scenarios as in meeting the people that needs to be blocked . And i guess the only reason i have found is the higher keys ,coz thats something i dont do at all now after playing WOTLK on private servers for 8 years and being a raid lead and officer i just dont have the mental capacity left to do anything that causes even a fraction of tension . I have been doing world stuff and i have like 4 or 5 people on ignore in 6 years . :sweat_smile:

Why do you need to actually block people? I can’t say I’ve ever even known about a block list. Can’t you just, you know. Not message them back?

block list should be account-wide, but it’s not meant to be used as a blacklist

get a blacklist addon

It depends on how you use it. Sometimes you just don’t want to play with somebody ever again so you put them on ignore so you can’t.

That’s especially true in a more competitive environment.

There is nothing that says that. It’s meant for people you don’t want to interact with anymore and want to ignore.

Also make it so if the person deletes the character it doesn’t knock them off the ignore list.

Trolls make a toon troll you then delete it and you gotta find the “main troll” on their account in order to block block it. It’s super annoying.

That’s a lot of effort. I applaud and support any troll on my ignore list that goes to that length because that’s dedication.

i’m sure it’s doable to add account wide block…do other games have a working system like that?

I don’t know there’s a lot of sayings but I think one of them is if you don’t make any enemies in life you never stood for anything
