It is my opinion that the block feature needs to be overhauled.
A limited list? No, that’s insane and stupid. You should be able to block the whole server, if you really wanted.
Second, you should have the option to block someone’s entire account. And I don’t mean just all their characters, I mean their AUCTIONS as well. Too many mofos out there selling leveling greens for 40k. If I block that person, their auctions should disappear from my view as well.
It’s like this on most Blizzard games. There’s more a-holes online than ever, these days. And no matter how many pledges you force people to sign saying they’ll behave, but you never enforce anything worth noting.

I’m guessing if you need to block every name/account on an entire server, maybe the issue is with you and not everyone else… just a guess!

No. I can absolutely be the only sane person in a large group of people. See the dancing plague; they were many; should an individual then feel “im the stupid one” for not going insane?
Sadly, its a fact that common sense is no longer common; critical thinking is so rare its like spotting a white whale, and logical conclusions are ignored by way too many.
Even if I do not have the issue of people selling something for 1 million if its worth 1 gold to me; I still agree with the OP that the ignore list needs to be increased, and encompass entire accounts.
I dont have anyone on the block list and iv been playing for 20 years lol

Ive played for 20 years as well, I have cleansed my list two times and kept only names I had SEVER harassment issues with. The list is too short.

Now ill point out the obvious thing however; dancing people are still the insane ones, not the individual necessarily. I know you chose to totally ignore this, and I know why.

If your block list fills up, then you need to either leave tradechat/your server, or start reporting whispers of anyone who’s block-evading to get them banned.

You say this, and that sounds perfectly reasonable.
But you opened with the quote below, which sounds like a lack of understanding on limited computer resources. Maybe that would work in a game with thousands or hundreds of thousands of players, but for a large MMO with millions that seems unreasonable (or just wishing you could out of ignorance for limitations).
As with most wow problems, the addon makers did it better. GlobalIgnoreList at least puts all of their alts on iggy as well. Sadly, this doesn’t work for crafting, auctions, etc. (that I’m aware of). My gripe is that the Blizz UI changed so that you can’t just type in (name - server) to put them on ignore. There used to be a button for that, but is now gone unless an addon took it away? Now you have to be partied up with them or directly right click something they say.
