Wow, where to even begin with this tidal wave of responses?
@Holycow: Look, I get that some players gamed the system. And while those actions were unfortunate, it shouldn’t negate the countless others who earned HKs legitimately.
@Oozo: Nice detective work there! Yep, different tracking sites have different data – and honestly, with so many alts, changes, and transfers, who can keep track anymore? I do play on alts too. But the crux of my initial point was the respect and acknowledgment for previous efforts, not the precise numbers.
@Deso: True, it’s been a while since the introduction of honor levels. But that doesn’t mean old-timers like me can’t voice our opinions, right? We all have our way of showing commitment to the game.
@Seedsower & Undertails: Thanks for breaking it down for those who seemed confused. Much appreciated! It’s always good to have some clarity in the mix.
@Sthis: Ah, the joys of toon hopping. You caught me; I’ve dabbled with a few different characters over the years. But ‘OG’? That’s more of a mindset, not just about the date of your first achievement.
@Hercx: You got me there. Admittedly, I’ve had a love-hate relationship with WoW over the years. Maybe not “hardcore” by your standards, but hey, each to their own!
All in all, whether we agree or disagree, it’s clear we all have a deep passion for this game. So, let’s keep that in mind as we debate and discuss. After all, it’s our collective love for Azeroth that keeps it alive!
