Blizzcon WoW lore countdown

Cookie was a level 20 boss in Dead mines. Back then he was ship’s cook instead of captain. Even though he was an optional boss he was farmed for the Siamese cat he sometimes dropped.
level 19 was the first and possibly most popular twink bracket. Being the highest level you could play at before advancing to the next PvP bracket. At least until the match maker was changed so that players with exp disabled only played against other players with exp disabled. Then suddenly the challenge of facing other twinks just wasn't as fun as the twinks had been claiming on the forums, LOL! Similar phenomena to now when the overpowered warriors claim they want no class balance changes for the sake of "purity" and not to simply dominate others in battlegrounds, LOL!
Evolving ectoplasms were level 17-18 elites in the Wailing caverns. They usually crept up on the group when the group was already focusing on raptors and snakes and they had a spell that called in another ectoplasm who could then call in more itself and so on. If an alert party member did not cast a spell interrupt before they duplicated themselves, it could easily turn into a wipe. But everyone's gonna have DPS meters running and things like kick don't contribute to those so max those big yellow numbers and who cares if the group wipes amirite? It'll always be someone else's fault because they didn't spell interrupt.
OOX-17/TN was a robot chicken that was disabled in southern Tanaris. The quest could be started by a random drop in Tanaris after which the player traveled to the disabled robot and then escorted it to a launch site from where it flew all the way to Booty Bay. It was generally best to wait until you went to Booty Bay for something else to turn in the quest, by which point the quest might already be grey.
Echeyakee was a level 16 lion and could only be summoned by doing a horde only quest chain in the Barrens. As such, he was highly sought after by Alliance hunters for his uniqueness. Just don't tell Antifa or BLM that white males were actually considered desirable at one time ;)
Anaya Dawnrunner was a level 16 neutral ghost that patrolled Ameth 'aran in Darkshore.

I have mentioned a few times in this forum about obsolete quests, or quest that were altered from the Classic game and this is a perfect example. After Cataclysm, Anaya Dawnrunner became a level 12 ghost. The quest, For Love Eternal, brought a tear to many a young Night Elf's eye and is remembered to this day.
The copper mace was of white quality and generally considered unimpressive. However, it only required level 15 blacksmithing to make and level 4 to equip and was not bound either on pick up or equip so if you started a new character that could use 1 handed maces, you could send them this mace, they could equip it before leaving the starting area and then even gift it to another lowbie when they found better.
your can finally reach a second tier of talents at lvl 15 and start to get even more paranoid of what choices to make
This thread is adorable, but I can't wait for it to come to an end!

One of the less useful, but still nice and immersive racial traits was Gnome racial "Engineering Specialist": Engineering skill increased by 15. Unfortunately, it doesn't affect non-engineers anyhow.

There were rumors about Taurens getting a racial "Sit On", which would one-shot the above-mentioned Gnomes. But for the sake of balance, Blizzard has settled on a symmetric "Cultivation": Herbalism skill increased by 15.
The Defias messenger was an essential mob to the Deadmines quest chain. He was level 14-15 and had a fairly long patrol route (and a long respawn timer). If you had trouble finding him it might've been because whenever an Alliance thought they'd be cute and kill the mob my horde character was escorting (without ever flagging for PvP), I'd jump on my max level hordie and go camp the Defias messenger (also without flagging for PvP) for the rest of the evening. His spawn point is on the road that runs north-south along the western edge of the zone near a particular set of caves.
During the days of class quests druids underwent a quest chain to learn bear form. Part of that chain involved summoning and defeating a level 13 moonkin ghost.
In patch 1.12 warrior were stupidly overpowered. But if you can't beat em (and in 1.12 no one could) join em (and looking at the numbers from Nostalrius and Northdale, everyone did). Yay balance!

...
players who often whined about things were typically called 12 years old by other people.
Melika Isenstrider was the level 11 assistant inn keeper at the Lion's Pride Inn. She must really love RP to spend all that time in Goldshire.
While Bayne might be a pink, level 10 dog rare spawn in Tirisfal glade now, he used to be classified as a demon and warlocks could enslave him to take on pretty much anything in the zone.
Yay keep them coming!
The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj world event started in patch 1.9
Lorekeeper Raintotem was a level 8 Tauren undertaker for the Red Rocks burial mound. He's having trouble with some Bristleback Interlopers that interested players can help with.

Sayge's Fortune #8: "You will receive a fortune."
Could you please hurry up with these so we can have BlizzCon sooner?

Thanks.
