The World of Warcraft part was kinda “Eh”. The TBC announcement was big, but it was kinda obvious, everyone was expecting that. Also the Lore plot was cool too, but still, nothing new from WoW section.
So i think the “big star” was Diablo with the D2 remaster and the Rogue announcement.
But i confess i kinda fear the D2 Remaster suffers the same W3:REFORGED fate, but lets hope its not. Will wait the reviews.
Overwatch and Starcraft was kinda brand too, nothing big or something.
Edit: Oh, that “Covenant pride” warcrys was kinda cringy imo.
Dude it sucked man.
from the start to finish i was waiting for big release, big conformations, big… news… but it was just weak.
maybe im saying this because 5/6ths of the whole patch was released 2 days earlier but man… its just weak.
even the details of the patch were weak…
(i wasn’t expecting it to be more than that though - It’s just that I think it highlights that there is a sort of vibe that perculates across the community from all the interactions happening in the con, noticable even to those of us who never go ourselves)
It was obvious, boring, and took up way too much time that should have gone to Shadowlands info instead. If Classic is gonna continue to be a big focus then it should get it’s own dedicated timeslot at the next Blizzcon instead of leaching off Retail like a parasite.
The team that did WC3: Reforged was disbanded. Another studio (Vicarious Visions I believe) which made the successful remasters for Crash Bandicoot and a few other games, is now working on Diablo 2: Resurrected. So, D2 should turn out pretty good. It’s basically a flesh layer of graphics over the old gaming system.
Even if the Anduin stuff hadn’t been leaked I think it would have still been underwhelming.
He’s clearly fine and not dead, the Archon is not dead, nothing really happens. The Jailer is doing things and has a “plan” or something. I don’t even care anymore.
