For having the most expensive tickets in history, I expected more from the broadcast schedule.
5 things day 1.
5 things day 2.
Wow, classic, d4, ow2. What’s next, and deep dives.
Pretty glad I didn’t buy a ticket this year. What are your thoughts?
Edit: my context was not to fully expect something monumental from just the broadcast. But the fact that they killed off multiple titles and only have barebones things to talk about are just lackluster to me.
We used to go to blizzcon every year as a guild, not anymore cause of the pricing and what you would be getting in person. The broadcast schedule just shows how barebones it is.

The fact that you can still get tickets speaks volumes.

Disappointing my parents is still free.

If it’s always been free then technically it’s also the most expensive it’s ever been!

I don’t recall a blizzcon ever selling out so I don’t get your concern

what do in-person ticket prices have to do with the broadcast schedule?

I feel like people go there to see/make friends and socialize with other WoW fans and cosplay and get merch, I don’t think a light schedule is a big deal.

Blizzcon this year is supposed to be more interactive. So them only having 5 things a day make sense for the people at the physical con
We virtual people have to wait

I think 2023 is probably the forst time they haven’t sold out.

This is the 1st time they didn’t sellout
I am guessing the 299 price tag plus the meh factor that it looks like blizzcon 2023 is shaping up to be has contributed. To the non-sellout.
Fun fact the 1st blizzcon was 100 bucks for a ticket
Watching all the people streaming -against Con rules - on the demo floor, while Ion wanders around looking like a deer in the headlights (too awkward to, or not wanting to?) instead of telling them to shut it down. In the process, getting locked into a one sided conversation about how Jaina and Thrall can still work >>>>> anything actually being presented by Blizzard.
I’d imagine covid also probably killed a lot of desire for folks to go out in big groups of people.
That’s just how I see it
In 2023? Na maybe a few but the vast majority has moved on from that redacted

And the people that I see wearing a mask. Is far and few between… and have you seen a Taylor swift concert recently and how packed it’s been?
I really want nothing to do with taylor swift anything

I was actually thinking this earlier this week.

They stopped doing Q&A’s. That alone frees up a lot of time. I’m glad I went in 2018, it will probably go down as the last good blizzcon. (except for diablo fans)
I think it’s cost. You’re looking at probably around $2000+ if you want to go, more depending on how far your flight is.
