I think the last real BlizzCon Virtual Tickets were sold in September. Maybe this month or next month.

I was being a smartass with semantics. You know, real virtual tickets being just, yknow, tickets, as opposed to virtual tickets :stuck_out_tongue:

I wish, at least video game conventions like this, would require real human player verification for sale. Real life tickets scalped again :frowning:

At this time, I’m not aware of any announcement as to when Virtual BlizzCon tickets will be going on sale.

I highly recommend checking out the Official BlizzCon Website for the up-to-date news as to when Virtual Tickets will be announced to go on sale. My best bet is that the Virtual Ticket sales will be announced within the next month. Seeing as how the event is in November!

There will be some changes this year compared to previous ones. Mainly, that the stream itself will be free. The ticket will still exist but will just contain the in-game goodies, early access to merch and more. This was noted in their announcement from June 29, 2023.

For when, looking at past BlizzCons:

  • BlizzCon 2019 - Went on sale on 10/1/19
  • BlizzCon 2018 - Went on sale on 9/26/18
  • BlizzCon 2017 - Went on sale on 9/13/17
  • BlizzCon 2016 - Went on sale on 7/26/16
  • BlizzCon 2015 - Went on sale on 8/19/15
  • BlizzCon 2014 - Went on sale on 9/4/14
  • BlizzCon 2013 - Went on sale on 9/12/13
  • BlizzCon 2011 - Went on sale on 8/2/11
  • BlizzCon 2010 - Went on sale on 7/26/10
  • BlizzCon 2009 - Went on sale on 7/30/09
  • BlizzCon 2008 - Went on sale on 8/8/08

You would think the purchase (in-game goodies) would prompt people to get access to the virtual ticket as well. But coming to think about it, it could be two different transactions:
The in-game goodies to be sold separately from the VoD. And the latter would be for the date, not as part of the Virtual Ticket.

Every Blizzcon they should open up free streams of the previous one. There’s a lot of lost moments that should be preserved.

Yeah where is the info on the Virtual Ticket for this years Blizzcon…haven’t seen any info on cost of it or the goodie bag that usually comes with it…what the heck…usually this close to Blizzcon we know all this stuff now.
