Is a waste of time if you only care about gear, getting rid of mythic literally kills the game for the intended audience. Making heroic a bit harder and the only mode is not enough, CE guilds would clear it in 2-3 weeks.
And for what? Because heroic raiders are not happy that they can’t get the bigger number?
I don’t think getting rid of mythic difficulty by making heroic harder would “kill the game.” Most people don’t raid mythic.

You’re always going to have two sides to this opinion on difficulty level of end game content. And it pretty much comes down to a personal feeling of how one perceives the game to be, what they are into playing in the game and at what level of commitment they play the game at.
Except quite a few guilds this tier were already clearing in 4-5 weeks…
Heck even my guild got CE back in early July which is a lot earlier than we normally get it.
Blizzard has always hard nerfed bosses so the less organized/skilled guilds that were stuck have a chance at clearing like 5-6 months into the tier so I honestly do not see them lowering the difficulty as a bad thing. Especially considering how seasonal based this game is.
That is still over a month to clear and the vast majority of CE guilds still take way over 2 months. Less than a month of content is not good, if they made heroic the end game.
The tuning on this tier was a lot more lax, with the new upgrade system you were basically done gearing up by week 3, it seems that won’t be the case for season 3 with the cap for crest being lower, but we will have to see how is the new raid tuned.
You are making the assumption that people unsub immediately the second they get CE which is wrong. Outside of extreme factors like SoO being the current tier for 14 freakin months I’ve never been in a guild that stopped raiding mid tier after CE unless said guild died.
There is a difference, do you truly believe most CE level players would stay if the end game was heroic raids?
Didn’t the game have the highest number of subs when there was only two difficulties?
And that’s not a lowkey “lol the game was better back then!”, I’m just saying that yeah, they probably would stick around.
If it has some of the best gear in the game ABSOLUTELY they would.
Gear? Lmao, I think we play with different people if you think gear is a factor at all to be clearing mythic raids.
Again, I’m talking about people that raid mythic not the player base as a whole. That was also more than 16 years ago, I think they are more factors at play than what the raid system was.
I don’t understand how people overlook the fact that the fundamentals of M+ have not changed since Asmon stopped playing as much. If he could do well in BfA, then he certainly doesn’t need to prove himself to people this season that he can play the game. Even M+ Freehold this season is a nerfed version of the original. These people also forget that the problems that the M+ system suffers from have always been there.
But its a good way to get gear so people still do M+. If it didn’t give as good of gear or better than raiding people just wouldn’t do it and this game would have even less players than it does now
I mean it is… If they removed 100% of the gear from raiding and all you got was an achievement the amount of people doing the content would plummet.
Mythic participation has been on a decline since they let people easily gear up from M+ with ease.
If Mythic raiding was removed, then M+ would have to give the best gear since it’s harder than Heroic.
Not sure how that would accomplish anything.
Raid clear as a whole have been going down, but if you compare heroic clears to mythic, mythic has actually been steady, the same number of guilds seems to be the around the same.
Mythic participation this tier is on track to be higher than S1 was. I wonder why…? Probably has a lot to do with how easy this raid is compared to Vault.

The guy does nothing but make reaction videos, reacting to himself, other reaction videos, or games he doesn’t even play. Even when he did play WoW, all he did was encourage toxic behavior and trolling.
How he has a fanbase as large as it is just boggles my mind. The guy has no redeeming qualities.
Being able to extend after your first kill is a pretty big deal, the amount of ilv people have thanks to the new upgrade systems is the main reason most guilds are clearing sooner.
They are slowing us down next season and with the mythic track we might see it come down back to the norm, but we will have to see.
