No fronts my guy!
You mean the movie quotes/tropes used in WoW? You’re equating that to rampant use of blatant tropes used to reflect real world current events into a video game? One of these things is not like the other. No, a reflection of Rambo doesn’t bother me. None of it bothers me, it’s just not for me anymore. It’s for a handful of you, clearly reflected by the low population counts.
In the context of fierce it’s due to an inability to handle differing points of view.
I feel gaslighting is the epitome of a fragile mind. But no, put simply, I don’t find the story telling compelling in the least.
For the saftey of yourself, and others, please see a therapist. This forum cannot provide the level of care you need.
how many kids do you have? do they still speak to you?
They’ve earned my respect. For genuinely defending themselves and arguing for clarification. See how that works? Crazy, i know.
The way the factions are made you cannot take away the race without diluting the lore behand the faction. My idea was something like a neutral faction that people can join that would allow for more cross faction game play while still allowing for people to have their unmixed factions. Think covenants but the questing would allow for becoming hostile or neutral to the opposite faction. You would still be hated by guards in faction cities though.
Going to preserve and screenshot this by way of copy-paste and the snip tool, so… yeah.
“Ex 2: Your child has a particular delusion. Instead of buying into it, and making them happy. You choose to make them understand the reality of the situation. This causes them an identity crisis or the like, and you now feel lousy for making them go through the realization process. Again, at the end of the day, the child is better off and so are you.”
It’s rather plain to see, based on the phrasing of this point, that you are speaking to a matter of personal identity - and a hot-button one at that. The use of “delusion” speaks to write it off as illness of the mind, and speaks volumes as to how you see it in a person of any age - even past the age of majority.
I appreciate the concern, but i assure you none is needed. I am quite stable. Just not malleable. Not agreeable. Which i can understand how would be unfamiliar to you.
They must be so honored…
I will devulge that they exist. And that we frequently eachother’s company. Thats about all i need to divulge to basement dwelling 12yos online.
I mean, at the point we are now, free association between the races should be a thing (might be more problematic with the Allied Races that were introduced, since their lore is specific at this point). It can be made to work in my opinion.
I clearly stated intentional vagueness for generality. =]
Thats on you if you read into it further.
Oh no not another thread.bye.
The phrasing’s clear. “Child”, “delusion”, “identity crisis”, etc.
You asked for an example. Would you have preferred the use of “carrot” “easter bunny” and “misunderstsnding”? You are making the assumptions. Not me.
The vagueness wasn’t to be general, as you claim. Because of the language you switched to, it’s exceptionally clear as to what you refer, and frankly it’s disgusting.
Clearly I stated it was. Again. It’s on you.
Triggered much? Over nothing? Lol. I agree that some new “social norms” are disgusting. Such as increasingly lacking primary education.
These threads are always filled with people who can’t stand that different types of people play this game. Yes, the game has thematically changed significantly and is way “softer” now, no way they’d do something like arthas killing his dad now.
That being said, wow has always been a comically light game. Even Garrosh calling sylvannas the word was funny back then. Sure it does seem as though the devs have forgotten their core audience, but they shouldn’t be hated for catering to people who want chromie to be a kid or whatever she’s supposed to be. Anime girl??
You guys need to kiss and make up. Game with so many players will always have so many different ideas for the way the game should progress
Can’t say I’m triggered, but I am tired of seeing people use vague points to undermine minorities and make implications behind the guise of “vagueness”. It’s not vague if you use terms that quickly associate with specific issues, and the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus realizations don’t cause identity crises.
They aren’t worth engaging with. They either have severe trauma, are trolling for attention, or both. In any case, they’re in dire need of professional therapy, and giving them headspace isn’t going to help anyone.
