I think they had a balance with Alliance and Horde but those lines have been blurred.

My thought was maybe one of “allow the player to pick the race and the faction at this point, let them align based on their ideals, not the character”. Might require specific races to go through Exile’s Reach at this point, but… meh?

Ok, yea, those seem a fair bit different to me. I can understand the latter much better, thanks, and I’d agree. I question everything as well, and baseless opinions or logic. That, to me, is just critical thinking, which is definitely not as prominent in society as it should be.

Being kind for the sake of being kind is weak. Sometimes the kind thing to do for someone, is a difficult thing for both you and the other person.

You say all this as if you honestly think that younger players can’t join the game. As if the only people playing this game started 20 years ago.
I’ll like to point out that people who visit gaming conventions aren’t losers and have lives that allow them to attend such an expensive event.
I work for the federal government, and my job is taking most of my attention away from WoW (and to some extent gaming).
I’d love examples here.

Sure.
Ex 1:
Someone close to you is addicted to H. They get extremely sick, when not on H. You could be kind, and get them H to relieve their symptoms and make you feel better that they aren’t suffering. Or, you could refuse. Let them suffer, as you suffer watching them. However, the end result is much better by breaking the cycle.
Ex 2: Your child has a particular delusion. Instead of buying into it, and making them happy. You choose to make them understand the reality of the situation. This causes them an identity crisis or the like, and you now feel lousy for making them go through the realization process. Again, at the end of the day, the child is better off and so are you.
