Blizzard's failed tech

I hope they are taking this all in like a sponge. How can you fail this bad with making another vendor for the game?

They’re not failing

In the world of computer programming there’s graphic design and typing up lines of code and while We play with the pretty bright cartoony graphics and on the backend is a massive wall of text

When One programs any game, with an example being an MMORPG such as World of Warcraft, when One is implementing a new feature such as The Trading Post, and a programmer makes a type-o, it can take along time to find it, in that wall of text that runs the video game on the backend

All corporate businesses higher 3rd party I.T. to work on their hardware and software data which can mean anything from a server frying to tripping over an ethernet cable, in a pretty standard work shift between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm

It’s kind of like Walmart highering a third party to stock their shelves instead of them doing it alone

The Trading Post is a new feature of World of Warcraft’s longevity spread out over it’s entire lifespan, for the WoW team to literally add anything into the game from trading card game spectral tiger mounts, brutosaur mounts of the every color spectrum, and mage tower cosmetic weapons if We hadn’t gotten them previously

Maintenance is done and the new feature is implemented when it’s implemented whether it’s just one more hour or twelve years

From development to implementation, Blizzard Entertainment has always been pretty spot on with finding out why a feature isn’t executing and finding out what’s wrong and how to fix it rather quickly

I’m admittingly not the biggest fan of Dragonflight as there’s just a 4-8 hour+ quest campaign, and the only new engaging content is the off chance Renown increase of a new quest or two at level 12 and Hunter pets being able to tame otters, as anything of value is locked behind max reputation and is very alt unfriendly ala Shadowlands 2.0

World Quest rewards are like Shadowlands evolving over time, just poorly rewarded and under geared ilvl, and casually PvP in the Battlegrounds for the ilvl 340+ gear when the world quests and heroics don’t get You much farther into Raid requirements

It’s Shadowlands 2.0 because from the ilvl gear being offered to what’s being worn, it seems like a huge number, and the overall ilvl goes up by one or two

Dragonflight still has that “I finally got a piece of heroic gear in every slot and now i qualify to LFR queue which will then mean a piece of raid gear in every slot slowly evolving into normal, heroic raids, mythic, and mythic+”

Alt wise there’s nothing from World Quests being available from having done the main campaign to achieve Dragonflight Loremaster that provides an incentive to seek out world quests and those cross dagger 30,000xp+ bonus quests are few and far between, as One can just sit afk in Valdrakkan for that next dungeon to pop

Vault of the Incarnates, The Trading Post, and The Mage Tower returning are features but not necessarily encaging from a daily basis perspective

It’s the fish crawling into The Krusty Krab asking where the theme of it is in spite of being hungry all over again

Plot, story, and lore are 99% of a video game, there’s no connection to Dragonflight with anything else going on, just instance bosses from Shadowlands yet again providing mindless dialogue

When One does the Dragonflight campaign storyline and receives the Loremaster title, there was never anything introduced as to why collecting sparks of hope, and using a machine to change gear into tier pieces and how this all fits together, just never makes any sense at all

Once in a blue moon I’ll stumble upon a random rock giant that is like Zerith Mortis runes and the Dragonflight trailer like hey I think I found something, but leads nowhere

Renown vendors could offer transmog cosmetics for alts like Fish skeleton maces and shark mounts because this is how high One is with the Renown

It’s the little tidbits as well, like the Valdrakken map doesn’t have proper markers for this is the bank and that’s the inn, like the Shadowlands Oribos map could’ve used for the Renown factions via flight paths

The Great Feast with the Dragonflight tuskarr doesn’t have a Legion invasion-like map marker to let you know when it’s taking place in the Azure span, but seems to be required to grind the Valdrakkan 3,000 reputation Renown quest which is beyond annoying and have to always Google its reset timer

The single elite world quest has a kill 50 elites for 2% each time to complete for the most unrewarding hogwash thing ever

I don’t expect Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing 64 dragon riding to happen over night with Dragon Glyph coins and customizations for every mount in the game but programming They do get right and game design is the only thing that the Playerbase should be complaining about

Extended maintenance and the new couple in the latest World of Warcraft expansion pack are just the sillest things that People should have an opinion about

I want a house for my hero but that might take even longer because I want choices.

The copium is real.

you literally have absolutely zero idea how software engineering and game development works, let alone how the infrastructure works.

lmfao

Diversity hiring over most competent hiring, yep.
