I have never been so disappointed in my game play as Shadowlands…I’m so over my conservatory, all that anima wasted to level it… and all I get is meat, fish, and seeds… OVER 100 plantings, waiting 3 days, to get in all this investment of time is 1 cosmetic and 1 turtle spirit? I’m drowning in meat and fish. .I’m now vendoring it for copper, Is this how you get people interested to do it? Is this the idea for a new system you thought we would enjoy?..

I tell you what… Conservatory and its anima is a mini game meant to be played for 2 years of the expansion before the next expansion.
Do you want to have some fun? Play the core games: Dungeons, Raid and PvP. It has been like that for 15 years since Vanilla. That’s where the fun is at. That’s where Blizz puts most of their time.
The mini game you are playing are just helping us to get resources and supplies : to get flasks, potions, food buffs, augment runes to help us beat the hardest monsters dwelling on dungeons and raids. The mini game will never ever become a core game. What’s the resources and supplies for? Go start doing dungeons and raids. Is this not your game? Then you must be in a wrong game.

WoD was bad because it lacked content, not because the content it offered was bad. That’s the difference between it and BfA/SL.
Obviously whether you view what we have now as “Bad” or not is subjective though. Also, even if the core content is fine, the systems surrounding them can affect how we interact with it and feel about it.

I’m going to stay WoD was better, even with not much world content. The raiding and pvp in it was so much better then what we have in shadowlands, heck I even the liked the 5 mans more in WoD

I already Dungeon, Raid and PVP, and there is no amount of feasts, flasks, or food buffs that can handle this amount of meat and fish… my bank is FULL of everything you suggested. Its ok to still love the game and NOT like the content… and I didn’t mind WOD … And I don’t mind that Covid has delayed content… its just that Shadowlands was very poorly done as far as content that would make a person want to continue to play side content systems, when your trying to convince people that systems are where you want to explain are your new specialty as they have been doing in interviews.

This is bad management. There is nothing that should be stopping content from coming out. My entire company transitioned from in the office to WFH in a day. Our work didnt suffer in the slightest.
They can blame Covid all they want, it doesnt stop people from typing on a keyboard.

At least in WoD you could farm transmogs and the occasional rare upgraded item… in Shadowlands there isn’t even transmog, you can’t wear it, you can’t sell it on the auction house because everyone loots the exact same item per rare…

Shadowlands is second best under Wrath, in my opinion.
I just think a lot of you who have been playing nonstop probably just need a break.

“Decent” rewards come from the pod with 4 rootgrain seeds. 4 mounts specifically, and the purple weapon transmog. Use a blue or purple spirit on it (or orange if you’re still doing those) and you should see stuff relatively quickly. If you don’t, you get a flask or two and a raid feast.
The occasional bit of blue transmog (and one mount) comes from 3 and 2 root grains. A couple of pets too. That’ll be where most of the meat/fish/rocks come from.
Green transmog comes from 1 root grain seeds. The spirit forms as well.
The reward chart is part way down the page. Make sure you’re planting things correctly… otherwise that unfortunately may explain your lousy rewards.

I realized early on that those covenant “end-games” had nothing to them but a time sink. You go spend large amounts of time to gather. Then spend those large amounts of resources on the main covenant system. And in return for all that work you get…some very minor rewards that just don’t sync up.
The effort vs. reward is totally out of balance in covenants. I slowly stopped playing the covenant pieces. Then slowly stopped playing everything else as really felt like I was just wasting time on basically everything. The enjoyment just slipped away for me.
Sub expires soon. Was hopefully they might add some depth in 9.1 but they can’t right now. I’ll check back in next xpac.
There are lots of fun games out there right now. No harm in taking a break from WoW, all your stuff will be there again if the next xpac catches your eye.
