Trust have been already eroded with your core community, many people never left private servers because of layering in the first place.
A better, more permanent solution is to increase the caps OR force people/guilds to transfer by letting the queues go on.
Funny enough, the excuse for not increasing caps has to do with screwing the economy, and yet we’re already seeing the market crashing, Black Lotus from 150g to 65g, Arcanite bars from 65g to 35g and so on, all thanks to Layering.
Layering kills what made Vanilla WoW special, a populated server filled with random engagements across the world.
You’re disappointing the vast majority of hardcore players for the convenience of a vocal minority of casual tourists that want convenience above all, and refuse to transfer or put up with the queues.

You’re too late my friend. The markets have already begun to crash I’m sure.

No one cares about private server players.

Buy now if you have the gold, that will be extremely temporary.

Yeah, since WotLK we’ve been saying how they’re “upsetting thier Vets/hardcores”. Guess this is in line w/the no changes thing. They’re legit still handling it the same. Doesn’t matter these people have been told since Classic’s launch they would have queue problems. The old Blizz team woulda said, yeah, well we told ya. They expected you to deal w/consequences, which is why we had a game where your choices mattered. Apparently that’s “retro” now or something from what I’m hearing. smh

Layering won’t be permanent. I mean if you’re feeling balsy, you could invest right. If all fails you’ll have flask for yourself
You took a survey?
No one elected you spokesperson. If you don’t like classic, then don’t play classic.

I wonder just how much of the core community actually was OK with private servers.

What if I told you that hardcore players make up 5% of the population, and that a vast majority of people are casuals that are trapped in quarantine.
I feel like you’re just being selfish because you tried flipping bulk materials and lost all your money.

That is my point exactly, the majority of players filling these queues are retail tourists temporarily playing because of the impose quarantine.
Doing changes to the game based on retail tourists is the absolute worst thing you can do, hurting your actual core community that wants to play the actual Vanilla experience, making changes at their expense for a community of retail tourists that won’t even care a few weeks from now.
If they don’t like queues, free transfer to a low to medium, pop server should not only help alleviate the overcrowded servers but also help the low pop servers.

Lol, hardcore players were always the 5%. Bending over backwards just because you sink your life into the game is the absolute worst thing Blizzard can do.

As someone who is considered “essential”, the implementation of layering is also essential. I’ve logged into Herod every single day since the game launched. It is a necessary evil just like it was back when the game launched. It is a temporary solution to a problem that in it of itself is also temporary.

Maybe you weren’t aware but this game came out 15 years ago

blizzard could reales an expandion that’s just a box oof sdoog biscuits and everyon would buy it anyway
These things were artificially inflated by non vanilla like server caps, so their “crashing” is really just returning them to the price they should have been at to start.
