A new currency / loot emblem should be introduced to the game:
- The emblem is only obtainable through boss killed. Everyone in the raid gains the emblems equally when one boss is killed. (How to obtain it)
- Players use the official emblems to bid for loot in the raid. (How to consume it)
- The emblems are transferable to your alts under the same BattleNet account (How to trade it through alts, but not players)
- The emblems can be used to trade for gold through NPC, one way only. (How to consume it)
Why this is good:
- It banned the RMT.
- The emblems are bound to BattleNet account, so the loot are bound to BattleNet account. Gold buyers can only spend gold in BOE and consumes, but not take other legit players’ loot.
How this system could be cheated by RMT:
- The RMT buyers hire gold farmers (RMT sellers) to login their account, level up alts, and attend raid to gain emblems, so the RMT buyers can spend them for the main char.
How to stop that:
- Blizzard limits the login ip for each BattleNet account (Do not share your account to others)
So blizzard, if you want to get rid of RMT in the game but don’t have AI/scripts to detect bots, you should try introduce this new Emblem loot system.
But if you want to keep the bots’ subscription, that’s another story.

This is similar to the dinar system the devs implemented for fated raids in shadowlands s4? Many loved it, but because loot was determinisitic it reduced the number of times players needed to run. The people in charge love a concept scorned by players called artifical game extension. Why make content engaing when you can just lock loot behind low rng rates and make players repeat the same thing hundreds of times?
I disagree with artificial game extension, but i know nowadays games care more about making money than a good product.

So you just basically have in game DKP system? Just join a DKP guild. Then you’d get a emblem for showing up on time to raid, and an emblem for each kill boss kill. Then when you get enough emblems you could then turn them in for gear.

I mean, limit the frequency of ip changes.
Say you can login in California today and login in Hawaii tomorrow and be there for 2 weeks, that’s fine.
But you can’t login in the states this morning, and be in Asia in the evening, and login in the states the next day.
That’s something already implemented.

Then you need to expect
1, You and your guild are bind forever. You never quit the guild or you are on the bottom of loot priority in the new guild.
2, When your tank/ healer take one raid off, you can find a random tank/healer who has the experience and willing to give up loot. Do not give them gold, or you are buying their loot with gold.
3, if you have 22 players in guild, and you are planning a 20 man raid. You are basically telling that 2 players to sit on bench until no one knows, or good luck for them to find a soft-res raid which can be finished smoothly.
Or you could just raid normally with friends and SR gear or do MS > OS.

And that is why now it’s so hard to find a Healer for Gnomeregan to join your soft-res when one of your healer friend is taking day off.
The right to access loot is bound to character (2 soft-res), but not the player.
If you want to be a pumper melee dps with big numbers on screen, you are enjoying the game because some of your friends are taking care of you as a healer/tank, or you are not enjoying the game because your team lead is suffering from finding a healer to join your soft-res raid.
If you are a tank or healer, thank you for your service to take care of others. We just need more of your kind.

Your friends/guild/soft-res can start a raid group, it’s a workable solution but it’s not good enough. (loot access bind to character & few tank/healer player => Longer wait time for dps players => more dps cannot find a raid => less subscription for Blizzard → game dies)
Or transferrable credit under Battle Net Account
(loot access bind to BattleNetAccount & your dps chara can’t find a raid => You are starting a healer/tank alts
This embnlem loot system provides a loot economic system which balance itself without RMT

No one stops you from build your 10 man soft-res, you need to calm down and start reading

You don’t deserve something for every raid you go to.
This is a hobby. People spend money on hobbies all the time just for fun. This isn’t a job or the way you support yourself in life.
You do it for fun. Not for a reward.

Seriously, next time you should start a raid with no one touch the boss body.
Getting loot is a bonus for playing the raid.
It’s not a right and you are not entitled to loot.
If you don’t like raiding, then stop raiding.
