Because. People. Are. Tired. Of. RMP.
Every year it’s the same old and tired comp. Every year it’s the same boring CC fest that caused PVP to deteriorate into the garbage that it is now. Every year you turn the other cheek and say “RMP is fine” while they continue to dominate 3’s and 3’s championships. No one wants to see the same old comp year and year win, the decrease in viewership proves this, so why won’t you do something about the overpowered dominance that is RMP? YOU have the power to fix this blizzard and only you, as long as RMP stays the king of the throne, pvp will continue to be a second hand irrelevant joke that COULD be something much greater.
FIX RMP.

I think its just wows pvp is extremely slow paced convoluted and kind of formulaic.
It is extremely hard for people to die outside of specific windows at high play. The best people in the world are those who know X must happen at Y.
Its almost more memorization then play.

Kinda agree, despite WoW changing over time it’s mostly a solved game like Melee or MvC2.
Im not saying it isnt fun to play. Just…what is there to watch?
Breaking los is the closest you really have to reaction based gameplay. WoW just wasn’t really built for pvp. You need aimed spells like dota games for it to work.

No, nobody watches it because wow arena is completely undigestable for people who aren’t already doing arena at a somewhat decent level

In case anyone was wondering, RMP stands for “Risk Management Program”.
I know this because I looked it up on the internet.
Rogue Mage Priest.
It’s one of those comps that can always dominate.

Nobody knows the arena meta, because nobody plays arena anymore.
WoW PvP in retail is legitimately terrible, and has been terrible since, like, Legion.
There are a ton of unique comps in open bracket. It looks like consistently the same thing because they always broadcast the last phase… and the last phase has (mostly) similar outcomes.
If you want more excitement, push them to broadcast more open bracket games. They’ll be less balanced and faster paced. They’ll be unique, roughly. It also gives you a chance to get to know players other than the same names you always see on the advertisements.
As a whole, I think people miss having a strong social community in WoW. Tiring of seeing the same names and faces repeatedly in AWC is probably in part a symptom of that. Expand exposure to new names and it’ll give people something new to be interested in and follow.
i haven’t pvp’d since wod i think
totally ignoring the “win 10 arenas” quest this week lmao, what a waste of space

I don’t know what RMP is. I don’t watch it because I have zero interest in PvP or any e-sports, for that matter.
In my opinion? PvP should probably be deleted in it’s competitive format. But it won’t be because it has a niche of players that cling on to it for dear life. But I genuinely feel like everyone who clings to wow pvp is doing themselves a disservice.
If you delete the competitive format for PvP as it currently stands, all of those players are going to head out into the game world. It’s going to be less pleasant than you would think. It seems like it would work at first glance, but the bots are in PvP mode to keep away from normal players. PvP players rush in, and the bots have to swap over to where you are. Then, you’ll have to choose between dealing with PvP or bot farmers.
It really is easier to leave the bracket functional and give it a little attention once every expansion so it stays somewhat fresh.

It’s really not surprising that in todays world of gaming there aren’t many lining up to watch people tab target each other to death while micromanaging 15+ buttons. And I say that as someone who used to love PvP in WoW (and I mean to the extent that all I did during WoD and Legion was arenas+BGs).

I don’t watch because current blizz PvP design and balance are bad.

Blizzard arena need bigger map to show walking long distances into objectives similar to MOBA. that would make audience relate better
