Blizzard, you didn't learn anything from dragonflight weapon enchants

Man I’ve been saying this pretty much since the beginning; that the worst part of this game is the gestalt player base.

Just really shows how big the game is and you cant please everyone.

It shows me how much ppl care about the game really.

What a weird thing to be upset about.

I completely agree with this. You couldn’t sell enchants at all unless they were r3, and even then usually at a loss compared to the mats. My main is an enchanter and still can’t create an r3 weapon enchant without inspiration.
But on topic I kinda agree with the OP. With today’s “meta above all” community if you’re not using the absolute best you get scoffed at, so there isn’t any ability to explore more interesting options. :hear_no_evil::see_no_evil::speak_no_evil:

Death Knights: What are weapon enchants? Don’t you all have a Rune Forge?

That’s not the main issue i have.

The main issue is that these are just boring damage procs, the scaling issues are also a problem though. The thing is, they try to be original and re invent the wheel when it really isn’t needed, damage procs aren’t original anyway, they’ve been here for the entire duration of wow.

Stats are the perfect choice for enchants, if you wanna add some “original” enchants on top, do it, but stats like crit, mastery, versa, haste and primary stats should ALWAYS be in the picture. And when they are not, they fail miserably to deliver.

Earthen devotion was useless for the entire expansion, same for burning devotion, frozen devotion was only useful for half a patch and then forgotten, as for the other 2 added later? Literally irrelevant too. So ultimately you had haste and primary stats, and THAT’S IT! Or you used the writ version that would give you… You guessed it, STATS!

At least if they were stats they could have an actual positive effect on the rotation, despite what the pseudointellectual naysayers in this thread are saying. I’m sure they are definitely gonna feel that random proc of damage that you won’t even see unless you look at details, unlike getting crit on fire mage, or haste on pretty much anything. But i mean, it’s not like i expect logic and reason from someone who makes such statements anyway.

Hell even primary stats and versa would be better, at least the abilities you do press do bigger numbers. You’re much more likely to notice that than some random damage proc that is obscured by all the other damage you’re doing.

Their argument is so blatantly false that i have to believe that people saying stats are “more boring” Are saying that to be a contrarian just for the sake of it. Or just being straight up obtuse. No, the argument doesn’t even pass the straight face test, that’s how blatantly false it is.
