yah, lego nerfs? bring it on. why not. ALongside everything else blizzard has put in place in SL to slow us down, and gate us along as much as possible.
the whole legendary system in SL is a broken system. the idea of powers and crafting your own is fine
but the whole requirement of soul ash grind. Then the ranks of gear. both of these pieces led to the system braking because it’s an artificial gate that has no real reason for existing.
its also why for plate pieces. there’s no value in grinding the ranks and selling them. the buyer pool is tiny because of the grind. especially at higher ranks. And the amount of items you need to craft for each rank is absolutely ridiculous.
I know with plate on my server, you can easily find most of the pieces for 2-5k gold because everyone ranking them is just stuck dumping them to AH. Heck, I was just vendoring them because they werne’t seeling because of how many.
Heck, the blue gear sold for more
it’s broken. Completely. And other than the legendary gear, there’s nothing else in crafting. at all. there’s no reason to do it. there’s no vanity items. no mounts, no toys. nothing else to put materials towards.
I haven’t seen crafting so broken and useless since WoD when you could sit in your garrison and craft everything your self.
I got one crafted and then quickly realized what a complete waste of time and investment it is. Either way you sink a crap ton of gold (and time) into something that will only ever be a temporary power. Then I decided I don’t care about the Lego’s and Anima upgrade crap, the game got a bit better to me after that but it also was boring. Leveling that stuff is the only thing to do in the game. Everything cost too much Anima, so farming isn’t even fun.
I absolutely think some of those legendary nerfs are too large considering the investment put into the pieces. It wouldn’t be so bad if people were able to get legendary items from non-player sources, but placing expensive items that are more or less mandatory for play when said items can go for 10s of thousands of gold is too much.
And no, “craft them yourself” is not a reasonable answer for the grind, cost of gold to put into it, etc considering Alchemy, enchanters, engs, etc.
The easiest answer would to enable blanks to be purchased with stygia or something similar for a fairly trivial price. Soul ash. ehh.
Honestly, such large nerfs are just a nightmare. I really hope Blizzard is paying attention because it’s a bad system. Crafted items, with heavy player investment, is not something they normally do
cloth legendary base items are dirt cheap on my server. 235 cloth pants, for example, are at about 17k right now. the 190 version are going for 700g. it’s possible some people made gold on these early, but i doubt anybody who started late would have a chance.
I would say some spec Lego are OK some are really good. Like for DH the burning wound Lego is around 4 to 5% of my total dps however Dark glare could be much more than 5% but is hard to track since is a % it will proc. So is hard to measure the dps gains on some Lego…
Except they did? My DH got hit hard by this, the havoc legendary changed. The main legendary changed literally mid season. So yeah they don’t care. This is also why I consider the arguments about covenant balance facetious: because blizz doesn’t care about the collateral damage.
Right, because they can’t. If they want to balance the game, there will be collateral damage.
Has happened every expansion and patch to date, but the crux of this specific complaint appears to be some variable cost to the legendary itself, not just time.
Still, they aren’t able to care if they wish to continue balancing things.
Legendaries should have never been crafted like this where we must all rely on something so expensive in either materials or gold. Most of it is gold. Legendaries should be earned and not crafted like this. They could have created an in game way to acquire the base pieces without crafting.
There should also be a way to change missives for a smaller amount of Soul Ash so that we do not have to begin again and buy or craft new base pieces.
This was a poorly implemented system from the beginning.
Yes, laugh at people more. You act no different than your YouTube video. How you are still allowed to be an MVP is astounding to me. I should never have engaged you. Good day.
Well one thing Blizz could do is nerf the NPC costs into the ground. That would negate a lot of the cost of these and it wouldn’t hurt crafters a bit since those costs just get baked in to whatever they sell them for anyway. Their profit margin wouldn’t change at all. And for people who are just starting to craft and unlock the legendary base items, it would be a good catch up without having to sink hundreds of thousands of gold just to be able to craft a rank 4 base item. The farmable material costs is a server and player issue but that how mats of any kind have always been so no reason to mess with that. Those NPC costs though…
I did check the AH last night on my realm and those 100k+ leg base item are now going for around 35k so that’s much more digestible as are most of the other leather pieces if not cheaper. Makes it hurt a bit less although the principle of the matter still stings.
Can you point me to where I said I wished for the system to be scrapped or completely revamped? Can you show me where I have said what you claim? No. You cannot. Because it was not said.
Explaining how something should have been from the beginning is not attempting to scrap a system. Now kindly do not respond to me again. You have proven to be a detriment to this community and should not post here. Goodbye.
