Animations for refining herbs and milling herbs look ridiculous. My characters look like they’re having full-body spasms. They stand with their legs apart, bend over, and start flailing and whipping their entire arm from side to side. Seriously?
If I try to refine or mill herbs near other players, someone always comments something, like “WTH??” or “Omg what are you DOING?”
I’m sure they know, but I guess it looks too crazy and stupid to pass up commenting on it.
Can we go back to just looking like they’re making something with their hands?
I know this isn’t a huge game-changing issue, but it’s annoying and even kind of embarrassing because it looks so awful.
(Edit: I didn’t realize that an old Classic character was my profile. My post is referring to animations in TWW.)

Refining and milling herbs get the herbalism’s animation. It’s ruining your immersion or somethin?
I had someone say that “it looked like you were hitting the griddy” when I was mass fileting fish. <_<

LOL! I never noticed this before and this is now my new favorite thing XD
The bending over and whipping the arm back and forth–like she’s using a sickle–to actually harvest/pick the herbs is understandable. Obviously I don’t like the exaggerated animation, but it makes a certain sense.
Doing the same when milling (that’s grinding) herbs that have already been harvested makes zero sense.
Doing the same when refining herbs with inscription and you don’t even pick herbs–also makes zero sense.
Refining having the same animation as alchemy would make sense, because that’s closer to what it actually looks like.
When you’re measuring, weighing, and mixing herbs it should look nothing like using a sickle to harvest them.
So yeah, it’s ruining my immersion. It’s annoying because it not only looks stupid; it’s completely nonsensical.
Fixing that is either very low on the to do list or… It would cost a raid tier kind of complicated.
