So, for those who don’t know or remember, during Blizzcon 2017, Jeff Kaplan announced a new map for Overwatch called Blizzard World, basically a Blizzard themed version of Disneyland. I can’t remember all the specifics, but I think each section of the park was a different game franchise, or something similar. I started thinking about that today for some reason, thinking about what I would want in a Blizzard or WoW themed theme park. So that’s my question for you all:
What would you like to see in that kind of a park?
Would it be WoW themed, or all Blizzard games?
What kind of rides, attractions, food, all that fun stuff?
Go all Roller Coaster Tycoon with your ideas!
This is a really interesting idea…hmmm…dang let me come back to this thread as there’s a lot of ideas that jumped into my head just now.
Isn’t there a theme park in china that uses Blizz stuff because copyright laws are weird there?
Am I remembering it wrong?
I haven’t heard of anything like that, but maybe! Just to throw out a couple of my own ideas, I would really want the main entrance once you pay to get in to be Valley of Heroes, and have SW’s Trade District as a sort of Downtown Disney shopping area. Of course you would want a Darkmoon Faire type area. And one example that just popped into my head: Tower of Terror style drop ride, but the Sword of Sargeras.
More ideas might come later
had to delete my previous post because i got the wrong park

Here we go
Zerglings are cute, and they only way you could get “real” zerglings would be to put costumes on puppies. Doesn’t really make an attraction though
Okay I was thinking could have a maze are of getting through a zerg hive or protoss structure with interactable mini attractions.
Let’s see…
A Darkmoon faire style rollercoaster would be a must. Also an Overwatch shooting gallery, or a larger attraction where you can to a pseudo-VR fighting in the Omnic crisis.
Just a couple from my end.
I’d LOVE something that was Teldrassil themed. Maybe like a pretty ride/rollercoaster through a magical forest-y area with romantic wisp lights where teenagers go on their dates to hold hands. And then at the end you get splashed with water going through the Moonwell.
If Disney-like, one park per universe.
Seeing how Disney is made for families, I don’t see as much appeal for the older theme of Blizzard products. BlizzCon is perfect for the venue…
Until the fire nation attacks…
Mr Hazzikostas’s Wild Ride. You pay $60 to get on and $15 every time it goes around. Your level of fun fluctuates wildly. You can never get off. The ride never ends.
Sure, include a Lion’s Pride Inn.
And that $15 obligates you to walk to opposite ends of the park to complete menial tasks like washing dishes or collecting slugs for 30 minutes to collect coalescing ride tickets if you actually want ON the ride…
Otherwise, you paid $15 to be a bystander while people on the ride shout down at you “You can’t complain because you don’t even have the swag!”
Across the aisle, there’s a shop selling tokens for $60. These tokens you can exchange to other visitors that are standing by shouting “WANT TO SELL SWAG! ONLY 1.5 TOKENS. GOLD ONLY.”
I would like to see something like what Disney has for the Magic Kingdom (Walt Disney World). There would be whole sections of the park to showcase each of their games with different entertainment (rides, shows, & restaurants) theme to that particular game.
-
World of Warcraft (which would include the Warcraft games)
-
Diablo (which would include all them I, II, III, and the latest one coming IV)
-
Starcraft (which would include Starcraft II)
-
Hearthstone
-
Heroes of the Storm
-
Overwatch
I would go so far and include this game in the park:
- Call of Duty (because…why not)
I would have the main street that would lead the park goers to the different sections decoration and showcasing (shops & restaurants) theme towards the company itself…Blizzard Entertainment.
Each sections would include music (playing in the background) theme to the different games. At the center where the actual different sections connect, would be a replica of the statue that they have out front of their office. The only thing I would do different (at least for the USA) would add a 3rd park and place it in the middle of the country.
Now, I’m off to dream about this wonderful place.
I read the title and thought someone hacked my brain for second, sadly it was unrelated.
What I was thinking about was what if there was a in-game World of Warcraft event that competes with Darkmoon Faire run by the Ethereal? Blizzard World is the representation of Blizzard within the Overwatch universe. What if there was a Blizzard World in Warcraft?
In-game Blizzard World you could collect Blizzard-themed transmogs like Zealot fist weapons, Dark Templar Scythe, The Grandfather from Diablo as well as other iconic mogs like Azurewrath, Stormshield, Buriza, Oculus, Windforce. The Hand of Rafaam and Staff of Origination would be cool Hearthstone weapon mogs. Maybe like a Genji Sword or Reinhardt’s hammer from Overwatch, as well as that Japanese guy’s bow (I don’t really know all the characters of Overwatch).
As far as activities, it’d be cool to play through “Recreations” of events from other universes. Storm a recreation of the Chaos Sanctuary filled with Burning Legion demons. Challenge the Void and face Silithid and Void Elementals in a recreation of the battle against the Xel’Naga. Hold off waves of robots to represent Oerwatch. Earn tickets you can redeem for mog prices.
yes
There should be a ride called “The Alliance Experience”
And it’s just this:

If by weird you mean non-existent then yes.
I’m laughing way too hard at this, curse you funny Orc.
As for the thread… honestly… I’d probably go mostly for the food. I’d love to sit down with a giant plate of food and a tankard 'o terror of beer and just watch all the people run around in costumes being silly.
Maybe try flirting with the Blizzard Princess who gets to dress up like Jaina Proudmoore. (But not excessively.)
Try collecting the signatures of all the Blizzard Prince’s and Princesses, that was always fun to do at Disney… I still have my little booklet around here with them somewhere, too.
Yeah, having characters walk around would be super fun as well. Glad to see people throwing out ideas. Here’s a few more I thought of:
Some kind of musical show showcasing the Hearthstone cinematic and some of the other trailers
A small curios shop run by Griftah selling all of his “trinkets”
A fun log flume type ride that involves you witnessing a battle on the high seas, with a big drop that plunges you down into Nazjatar
A Haunted Mansion ride, but it’s Karazhan
And instead of “Cast Members”, like they are at Disney, all the employees could be called NPC’s
