Unfortunately yes.
But players can still ask for things they’d like to see/have happen. Not a problem with expressing your view either but nothing’s a done deal yet.
As far as we know because they’ve changed course or weaved before.

He’s in denial about the bots that are on Era already.
The only server without bots on Era is Grobbulus and that’s just because it doesn’t have free transfers off + a really low population (50-60 people per faction).

No they won’t, tell me you will cancel your sub and won’t be playing TBC cause Blizz says no(atm).
You won’t, noone else will either, not happening.
Only because anni is going right now. People are going to come back when its over. I’m playing anni because I want toons for the inevitable BC era servers. I don’t want my anni toons on era though. Era needs to be its own isolated world.
I will play that if they announce it, but not until it is a sure thing.

They won’t, and any potential subscribers lost will simply be restored through microtransaction purchases.
Microtransactions work by having as many subscribers as possible since the revenue from them is directly proportional to number of subscribers.
Anniversary was the fresh Era server.
But yes there should regularly refreshing Era servers that merge into the existing ones.

If new players level on Era they don’t flood it with cheater gold and max level bots like clones would

It’s a small minority that mass-purchase them.

Right and that’s why companies going for micro transactions need that higher sub count, they’re aiming for those handful of whales but shooting out random shotgun blasts.
It’s very odd to think that botted gold brought in from anniversary is any different than someone already on Era just buying botted gold lol.

thats what I’m saying they think there botted gold is good even tho they have had years of farming it why cant someone else just join the botted gold party its all going to gdkps anyways it never leaves the server
They already have a strong solid base that endlessly invests in these microtransactions. One microtransaction, alone, can make up for 7-8 subscribers, in many cases. They care less about Classic subscribers who DON’T invest in microtransactions.
The retail base produces most of the money, not us. We’re just that extra little monthly cut that makes up potentially less than 5% of their income.
