Why offer an ensemble for 800 tokens (over priced) and then offer a colored variation in multiple pieces? Why not just another ensemble? I don’t get it, you do this every time.
Fortunately it’s a gimmick set that I know I’d never wear. So it’s all easily ignored.
I confess, it’s me.
If I like just 1 or 2 items of an ensemble, I won’t buy it. But if you have separates, I will perhaps talk myself into a 3rd item.
Generally speaking, I don’t like their full ensembles. ![]()
It’s the first time.
For those of us with 10k tenders or more. Gotta get us to spend them somehow!
I couldn’t afford the ensemble after some purchases (and won’t even with the extra 500) so had to freeze it.
I should be able to get it next time, and still have some change!
I would just let people buy individual pieces from the ensemble and list the two full ensembles at the top (with drop-down menu for the specific pieces)
Because I don’t want the entire ensemble. I onky want specific pieces. I love that they did this.
But I think it’d be better if all ensembles just had a dropdown to buy the individual pieces so we aren’t limited to one color.
We got an extra 500?
I don’t always want the complete ensemble, sometimes I only need a piece or two.
Again, someone is complaining about having choices. ![]()
it’s not though, they had the bikini set last trading post and then the blue one you had to buy separately.
It’s at least the second time. They did the same thing just last month with the cute summer outfits.
However, I like that they do this and we have choices. I personally will not wear the entire ensemble and wouldn’t spend 800 tenders just for the 1-2 pieces I’d actually use. However, I will absolutely buy the one piece I want for 220 tenders instead. (The helm, obviously, so my non-engineers can now transmog the deep dive helm for funsies.)
the broken up set is for players who dont want the whole mog but want the items they want
There was also an Easter-themed set where they did the same thing, iirc.
I would assume that they’re looking at data to see whether more players prefer getting whole ensembles, or piece by piece.
Oh you’re right! A pink and… yellow? maybe? easter dress set?
I am thankful I didn’t need to drop 800 tenders just for the helmet. Yay for options!
I meant the 500 you earn playing the game.
you fail to see his point, the ensemble and the separate pieces are not the same, I could see that logic if the pieces were just the ensemble broken up for separate purchases. The ensemble and the pieces are two different colored sets, one is sold as a set, and the other is sold as separate pieces which is confounding, and the price for both are not really equal.
This is on purpose and just like any other marketing tactic in the world.
But all ensembles should have a dropdown to buy individual pieces.
Unfortunately it’s a gimmick set that has some really nice individual pieces that I could see myself blending into a mog sometime. Makes me wish the ensemble was split apart.
I agree in that it is far more fun to put together a set and be hotter than Ragnaros than to put on a pre-built set.
