Blizzard, when will you nerf shamans?

Playing PvP is becoming simply unbearable.
They are very strong. And Alliance players are suffering because of this.
On every Arathi, there are 6-7 shamans rolling over everything that moves.

And they are impossible to kill because you decided to give the +30% HP rune to shamans of all classes. And this applies to both elemental and enhancement shamans.

Enhancement shaman is madness, he just needs to touch me and I lose 50 sometimes 70% of my HP.

It’s a HYBRID class. It should be average in everything.
It can’t be the best tank, healer, and DPS all at once.

Why are you killing some classes and greatly strengthening others? As a druid, I really don’t like playing against a horde of shamans.

Because devs don’t know how the classes were designed what idea was behind each class. They won’t be able to improve the game

Resto isnt strong in pvp, they have no instant heals.

But to your point, I think rockbiter will be changed so you cant have more than ones worth of AP. I dont really know what you would do to woe. Part of its power comes from how much damage there is and other classes lack of a buffer against it like it.

Replace this with literally any class, or spec, and it’s the same. Shamans dont do any more damage than the next class, you’re exaggerating.

True being good at playing wow is different from being good at design the game. The leader needs to have overview over things, and be aware of certain critical point before make any changes to the game
Fx ppl can be very good rogue player in classic. But I don’t think many ppl understand why rogues dont really have any speed boosts or c/c to close gap, why they need to be careful about energy useage etc. all this disadvantages were part of classic class design, you can’t just remove them

Keep defending your shaman class.
No, even rogues don’t kill as fast as shamans.
Or at least, you can do something in response to them.

If it makes you feel any better I feel the exact same way about paladins in PVP, constantly getting rolled over by 5-6. getting 100-0ed during a hoj or attempting to run for my life when they bubble.

The OP is right though. Mele dps Shaman is not even supposed to be using RB, its supposed to be using WFW. There is indeed a problem with shamans since they were buffed. My only issue is with so many complaints the dev team will end up nerfing WOTE which affects tank shamans, instead of properly nerfing the dps specs.

The issue is for pvp, no other rune is better in the leg slot, and there are no real loss of dps for using RB main hand.

You cant make this about Way of Earth. Its a phase 1 rune. How is it a problem now, but NEVER WAS A PROBLEM BEFORE? Nobody was complaining until their damage became respectable.

They could increase the threat bonus on way of the earth then make the buff reduce all your damage

Pretty much.

Shaman PvP hasn’t changed since P2 started, it’s almost as if now that the hunters and SPriests have received a superficial nerf, they turn on the completely melee that lasts long enough to kill them. Shamans.

I’d be absolutely fine with a weapon imbue (1 of type at a time) restriction… while they tone down all the class damage.

I hate running WotE…but if I don’t I just melt like the rest of the classes if their CC is down. (That’s why they hate us, we don’t melt like a good warrior/rogue.)

Shamans are balanced, everyone else was just bad. Now that we have been running with boulders on our backs and had the rocks taken off you are seeing the power of galactic brained Rick and Morty understander level of IQ gamers. And you just can’t handle it.

Way of earth actually was a problem in P1. Enh was just so wildly unpopular and easily Kiteable. I recall easily blasting down 2-3 melee at a time in p1 with way of earth hitting 300+ crits on lava lash and white hitting 2-250s while dual wielding . I had regular games in wsg dropping 20+ kills. No one noticed because of how blatantly broken hunter was, but way of earth was so broken in P1 I theorized that if it was never changed, it would simply be the best pvp rune for the entire game. I even have POST AFTER POST AFTER POST AFTER POST on this forum about shaman balance and how windfury would not change anything because of house INSANE way of earth is.

Imo, revert way of alpha AP, idk why they gave us that.

Nerf all tank runes damage, and buff all tank runes threat. This means

  • paladin tank rune equipped reduced damage
  • way of earth reduces damage
  • demo warlock reduces damage
  • Druid survival chest rune with flat dr, reduces damage

All of these runes increase threat. There. The tank rune meta is ruining PvP. If WoE damage is tuned back what you have is enh being a high damage glass cannon that can easily be cc’d and bursted down. Or they go tank and do no damage. You could make all tank runes make you do some 30% less dps and 60% more threat. Who cares, it’s a pve rune. Remove ALL tanks from PvP.

Skill issue. Shamans don’t need nerfing…they are easy to counter.
