Blizzard, what's the point of gearing up my DH?

Really, what’s the point? I was starting to do my 15+ vaults when it struck me. What’s the point? We’ve been asking for something to be done about it since before last season. What’s the point of even gearing up my DH this season when nothing was done? I really love and enjoy playing my DH even if its crap on the meters in comparison to the FOTM classes and others but seriously.

Why did you guys not put in a re-work, anything really before DF hit? This is literally a new season and 4 more months of it, nothing else but knowing that my one damage spell is basically a Sinful Brand dot that I play as a melee affliction lock is just staggering. I mean, you may as well have let us go back to our Night Fae head butt here… flash there-- playstyle for this one. That was atleast more fun. If you had no innovation or ideas at all then why not ask the DH boards for ideas, I see so many intelligent players coming up with solutions as well as interesting ideas.

Probably because they didn’t want to change DH too much when a new expansion and better opportunity for a rework was right around the corner.

I think that might be part of it, especially since our talents are the last to arrive.

It’s fine to not do big changes now at the end of the xpac. No one is really expecting a rework now at the end of the expansion. But man, do something. Everyone is saying how dog it is to play venthyr. Everyone is complaining about the lack of aoe. Like they can easily do some aura percent hotfixes to fix the spec weaknesses like they did TO LITERALLY EVERY OTHER SPEC that was struggling, but for some reason that I just can’t comprehend they flat out refuse to acknowledge that dh needs help and refuse to buff it, even slightly. And if they really think dh is super, duper fine and perfectly balanced even while having the worst aoe and tier set in the game only carried by a covenant ability and a 3 minute raid trinket, fine adjust it with a give and take. Nerf sinful a bit and put some of that damage back into the class abilities therefore fixing some of the problems people have of a dot doing all of their damage.

But no, instead of sensible adjustment to make everyone happy they instead give the imaginary finger to all of the havoc players, tell them they think the spec is fine and just abandon it for the remainder of the expansion.

Of course, if this was instead a post on the warlock forums, talking about some issue they might have had with the class, Blizzard would have immediately stopped what they were doing and gone “whoa whoa whoa, hold on, ok we got this, we’ll fix this right up.” and immediately fixed whatever it was they were complaining about.
