Blizzard what on earth dude!

Context: i was chilling on a SS, and on a moment a dragon dude was casting the sleep ability on my healer I use “Intervene” with plenty of time, and as for using spell reflex—I got you, buddy—I think foolishly, and then; my healer eats the CC and I waste two CDs trying.

I tell the guys at the end—hey, is Intervene bugged? Why didn’t I intervene that CC?—it only works against physical powers, they reply.

WHAT!? Why!? Does Blizzard know that there are literally only two classes in the game that have physical powers (CC in this case)? What the hell is it going to do me any good if everyone except the damn warriors has magical CC (I mean the really important ones that need to be intervened)? Something similar has happened before, and I always blamed it on my usual regional lag, but if this is the case, it’s complete crap! So, this class is even less useful than it was two or three expansions ago?

For this damn class everything has a repercussion, EVERYTHING: if you use die by the sword you can be disarmed or stunned and wasted (not to mention that it’s useless against arrows unlike in MOP) You have “charge” but it has a minimum space limit that you can use it (if your enemy gets within 7 yards of you you can’t use it or attack) or you can be CCed in the middle of the animation and you lost it, if you use “Ignore Pain” you lose a lot of rage which you could use for Mortal Strike for example, if you put yourself in “Defensive Stance” you lose damage; and now Intervene only work on Physical abilities -dude!!- Everything this garbage does has a penalty.

Meanwhile when I main my paladin for example I can use bubble without losing damage (Forbearance is so insignificant that sometimes I forget it exists) I have a gap closer that has no minimum range, I have ranged attacks but in top of that if im to away of my target I also have a Freedom if you root or slow me, literally just for that I main it, it’s the class with the least penalties and that plays the most “loose” in the whole damn game right now (what the hell, I can even afford to use the bubble as a trinket because I have 2 more shields if I need defensive ones). Or with my hunter! I can make myself immune and no one can dispel it (not even a warrior with shattering), I can use my self-heal/defensive and no one can take it away from me even if they stun me.

I don’t understand the class balance in this game, why do you penalize a few classes for every damn thing they can do and not the others? It’s like they use a different measuring stick for every damn class, or just for the warrior; while designing the rest is just—let your imagination run wild!—if you were to tell me—I’m penalizing those classes because they’re so broken!—they’re a threat or can do things mechanically or are useful that the others can’t, but that’s not the case anymore!

And it’s been like this forever.
