I’m
Over Two Hours
in on a six minute queue. I understand the desire to stop win-trading, but this is undoable! I need 189 more wins for the Stunted Direhorn.
Please have mercy and fix this system…
Here’s a thought. Maybe have a battle finder limited to every Saturday 12 am to Sunday 12 am Pacific. That way people will be forced to queue if they want at a particular time. And loosen up to make these pet battles happen.
What you’re up against is something that seems to be unfixable.
The basic idea, two people competing against each other in a battle of wits, is great. But didn’t take into account that most WoW players just want to win, any way they can.
I got my Stunted Direhorn years ago by just doing what everyone else did, put together the latest mega team and hoped for noobs to get an easy win. Admit, did win-trade a couple times with a friend. Blizzard made it worse by giving us the 250 win Direhorn achievement, and a 1,000 and OMG 5,000 win achievement. Means people no longer hoping for an interesting and challenging encounter, they just want to win. As quickly as possible so can go on to doing it again.
One result of this, the folks that thought that this might be fun and try it out quickly learn that they lose every encounter, so why do this ? And not a whole lot of fresh Pet PvP participants.
Blizzard finally got around to trying to fix it last year but their solution seems to be coming up with a ranking system to keep the newer players from being matched with a long timer with awesome teams. Which means fewer possible opponents for someone like OP with 61 wins.
As you may have guessed, I don’t mess with pet PvP anymore.

If I got my Stunted Direhorn, I wouldn’t either.

You’ll likely have a better shot at finding folks to battle during pet week, too.
