Blizzard - what do you want us to discuss?

Hi Blizzard,

There’s a lot of topics being covered and certain ones getting a lot of attention (layering and leeway). I know you do not want to give away what you may be working on, but some videos with interviews of Blizz staff indicated that you want to know what the community thinks about certain things.

Why not give a list of topics you want us to deliberate and give feedback on, such as when Thorium Point should exist, etc etc.

I want the community to help you make the right decisions (about iterations of Classic, not QoL retail requests), rather than focus on topics that are beaten to death and you may already have solutions for that you aren’t communicating.

Let us know what you need!!

Thanks

I think Blizzard wants us to discuss how we can all be more positive on the forums, and make this a safe space for when it becomes popular when the game comes out. Any plans how to make that happen my boy?

Tbh i think it would be half of us saying one thing and the other half disagreeing and thats not counting the trolls.

Just talk about what needs to be fixed/added/removed/changed.

I think there are tons of conversations not happening around when things should be released within the phases, such as thorium point, other quest hubs and reputations. I wish Blizzard would simply let us know what they are wavering on to get community feedback.

Pretty sure Blizz has confirmed stuff like this

thorium point, other quest hubs and reputations

is in from the beginning. It was in one of Esfand’s videos from the media summit I believe.

Ahhh interesting. I definitely saw his video/interview but I got the sense that the developers where like “we want to know what you guys think!”

Maybe they have most of this stuff figured out and we will be good to go.

How about no. Safe spaces are anathema to personal growth and development.

If you are never uncomfortable, you don’t learn how to deal with it. If never challenged, you don’t learn critical thinking.

I don’t think they really want us to discuss anything, even though they said they would look to the community for feedback at the announcement of Classic.

If they really were listening, they would not be going with the 1.12 version of AV and they would be rolling out with at least one RPPvP server. And just an fyi, neither of those things are deal breakers to me by any means because I personally am not a fan of AV (much prefer AB), and never intend to play on a RPPvP server.

Regardless, it’s pretty obvious by the number of upvotes in the thread regarding AV that the older version would be much preferred by the community. It’s also obvious that many people want a RPPvP realm. I don’t see why it’s such an issue for them to open just one of those realms really. But they are doing what is best for Blizzard, not the players.

My deal breaker is layering or any type of sharding. That right there in itself is a system for Blizzard, not to enhance gameplay. But Blizzard will do what is the most cost effective and best for Blizzard, not what is best for the game or gamers.

What’s this? You’re one of those ToXiC people who think conflict strengthens people?! What are you SITH!? Though i guess satire is dying these day’s eh?

They really don’t care… They never have and never will… They are going to do what they want, when they want, whether it makes sense or not. That’s the Blizzard way. If they really wanted feedback on the state of the game they would be running an open beta with game play feedback surveys.

I’d like to know what I’m apparently NOT supposed to discuss, as I’ve been silenced twice now without any kind of provided reason. If you’re targeted, they just leave you to find out for yourself which of your posts mysteriously disappeared, and figure it out.

They want tweaks on their “good ideas” not opposition.
