There is no real argument against it now. There is no “community”.

There is literally no counter argument against LFD. Do we need LFG? no because there is a counter argument in that it is not being gatekept.
LFD will allow people that want to raid to be able to raid. You are not able to raid in SOD currently.

The mostly-awful LFD tool that was custom jerry-rigged for WoTLK Classic would actually be kinda nice for SoD.
Brings out the literal worst in players in WoW. You’re just a number in a queue. No thank you.
Do me a favor, log into your character go into trade chat and type this “Starting a group for Gnomer Need all”
Then as you get dps/tanks/healers modify the message, for example "LFM Gnomer need 3dps (two ranged) a tank and two healers)
Whatever you’re missing, just fill it in. Then when the group is filled, go to gnomer.
This group might not make it the entire way, but eventually you’ll get a group that does.

RDF would be awful for SoD.
The manual LFG tool would be nice, but nothing automated.
Even when I can’t run with my guild due to timing, I have no issues getting into a PuG if I want to.
There’s no real argument against any of the objectively better systems of Retail, yet some of us prefer non-Retail.
Things being less convenient is the charm of Classic. Sure you can take it away for the sake of convenience, and if that’s your preference awesome! Some people prefer instant coffee.
I would like the manual LFG system but not RDF.
there are multiple versions of the game with LFG in it. You should go play one of those versions of the game.
Who the F is “We”? – No LFD/LFR is why many people play Classic/SoD. – Find a Guild, I’ve been in a guild and raid every reset.
