Blizzard Warglaives of azzinoth or Not? PLEASE RESPOND!

The fact that 8.3 goes live on Jan 17th and we have multiple threads on this issue and yet have no answer on this is disturbing.

Could you please clarify if its a bug or if its intended for these to not be mogable? You can simply tell us yes its a bug or no this is intended and _______ is why

Wait can you still not transmog the Warglaves outside of Demon Hunters in 8.3?

You could transmog it if you did the TW Black temple.

Not on other classes. and no you can not. Not even that works on the PTR

warglaives are currently unable to be transmoged. The appearance through the tw achievement is available as the only source at the moment. Warglaives despite being a weapon from illidan always felt more iconic as a rogue weapon. Hope this is changed but I cant see blizzard actually doing it.

Not currently on the PTR and Blizzard wont say if its a bug or not! They have literally ignored this issue the entire time its been on the PTR!

The mog comes from an achievement, not just looting them. They’re not going to change that. Illidan’s weapons will stay as DH only.

Not sure why anyone would think it’s a bug.

You must not be aware to the fact that in 8.3 ALL legendaries are transmogable. If you have the leggy you can use the appearance!

This is true for all Legendaries even Shadowmorne but the Warglaives seem to be bugged. This is what this thread is about. its about 8.3 changes. So all classes that use onehanded swards should be able to use use the Warglaives appearance. Even rouges

No I’m not. But thanks for immediately bringing out the jerky attitude.

No. It’s not bugged. It’s the only legendary to have an achievement through Timewalking to unlock the mog specifically for one class. Why would that change? Why would they take that out when it was just added in Legion?

Warglaives are for DHs only now. That achievement isn’t going to suddenly disappear and they’re not going to let everyone mog those blades.

It’s logic.

Well, they were either going to piss of Demon Hunters or all the other classes that can equip them that aren’t Demon Hunters so they probably flipped a coin.

Warglaives are classied as swords so once the changes are added anyone that previously obtained the MH/OH should have them on X-mog chart

They went for the choice that was less work: leaving alone the special arrangement they set up for DHs back in the day. It’s embedded in the stored data of hundreds of DH characters now; reversing that and making it a dog-normal transmog would probably be risky. (Any time you mass edit database records off-line, you’re just begging for trouble.)

So that poor Gnomest can mog her glaives?

Honestly the glaive wont be the big thing since anyone that crafted The sulpheron hammer and farmed the Thunderfury quest will be out and about dual wielding them where applicable

They could easily just move the achievement to the Feat of Strength category, and open them up for transmog on all classes that can use them.

I’d imagine Warglaives will be an exception to the mog rule considering there’s an achievement in place for them that you must kill Illidan during BT Timewalking in order to mog them.

The Warglaives were originally for sword wielders not Demon Hunters.

Making a legacy item an exclusive mog for a newer class that wasn’t even the first or eligible to wield at the time of its introduction is questionable.

Perhaps they’re changing the glaives from 1H sword to warglaive making it so it can only be mogged by DHs.

Can’t wait to see Warlocks transmogging Thunderfury.

Except that’s what they did. Demon hunters are the only people who can mog it, and that achievement to mog them has been in the game for a while now.
