Blizzard Update Agent - Issues / Lag

I continue to have massive latency issues / spikes randomly throughout gameplay, this stems from the Blizzard Update Agent launching in the background, despite there being -no- apparent updates for ANY of the games I have downloaded, NOR do I have ‘always download future and current patches’ selected in the options.

I have a very low mbps connection, as I play on 4G LTE for decent latency where I currently live. It is incredibly frustrating to one moment, be running at 120-200ms, and then spike to 1300-12000ms because it’s eating up all the bandwidth.

Overall, this seems to either be a display issue on the launcher, or not informing me of what needs to be updated, or any visual cue of any sort.

This needs to be addressed, as it is wasting the time that I could be enjoying World of Warcraft to it’s fullest extent, as it makes it difficult to run Mythic dungeons, raid, or even do World Quests.

Greetings Donomasou,

For this issue lets try reinstalling the app, this can happen when files are corrupted.

· Press the Windows Key+R on keyboard
(Run Command in the Start Menu for Vista)
· Type %ProgramData%
· Hit enter
· Delete Blizzard Entertainment and Battle.net Folders
· Empty Recycle Bin
· Uninstall and reinstall the app, please reinstall onto the C drive

If this continues after this I recommend setting the app to close after launching a game and putting in a bug report on the battle.net forums so it can be looked into.

Close the battle.net app out when launching a game.
Open up the app and click on the symbol in the top left hand corner
Select Settings
Under General>When I launch a game select “Exit Battle.net Completely”
Click done
