This is 40k Dark Eldar or Drukhari lore on one character. WoW needs beings like this. You are in for a treat if you watch the video.
I got a few seconds in and stopped. The horrible narration killed it for me.
Yeah 40k is not something I would use as examples of good writing.
He’s no Morgan Freeman, that’s for sure.
I don’t think I am. ![]()
Am I going to get a cookie if I watch it? Because that’s the only way I’m watching it.
I’m happy for you OP.
Or sorry that that happened.
I ain’t watching an 11 min video tho.
I like Warhammer 40K, but the last thing WoW needs is to copy their narrative, it can be a little… messy
It’s basically shilling to link a video and go “this, so much this”, no? At least add something.
Although to be fair 40k and Starcraft have been ripping each other off for years.
A 4th grade book report has better writing than WoW at this point.
I’d grade it higher than Warcraft.
I dunno about using Warhammer 40K as a benchmark.
Mildly off-topic, I really like the visual design for the Death Korps of Krieg.
There’s just something I enjoy about an army of lads in gas masks that beat aliens to death with shovels.
Same with FFXIV, they got legendary writing in their stories.
I am convinced no one person could be responsible for a story as awful as WoW’s.
A story this mind-bogglingly bad can only have been written by a committee.
I take it you’ve never read an L. Ron Hubbard novel. Believe me WoW is Hemingway compared to the drek he produced while alive.
Remember when Games Workshop had to clarify that you shouldn’t root for the Imperium and become an irl fasicst?
One would think you shouldn’t take any fictitious group so seriously that you try to emulate them in real life.
Ya I wouldn’t use Warhammer 40K as an example of good writing when they decided that half the Primarchs would turn traitor for some pretty crappy reasons.
