Blizzard thinks its smart to turn off 90 percent of the game during launch

smart… right when hype is highest, turn off your game so people can quit, blizz kings of shooting themselves in the foot, this community been widdled down by dumb decision after dumb decision like these

for the first 2 weeks of the expansion and every season they turn off mythic+ and pvp… encouraging most the playerbase to leave, great idea

you do realize they don’t have that stuff at the start so everyone has a chance to level and get basic gear so when it does start everyone had the opportunity to start on a level playing field right?

why? who cares, if you arent level 80 by now you can be left behind slightly, I dont think this is an issue at all, sure keep it off for 3 days, not 20, shooting in the foot at its finest

I’m not a big fan of waiting for it, either, but just like being behind isn’t a big deal, neither is waiting a bit for M+ to open up.

Not everyone is in a rush to get to the end. And it’s not just about getting to max level, it’s also about giving people a chance to get the gear that’s going to let them start into that stuff without killing themselves.

Or let’s go with your idea. You have to be max level and fully geared for M+, raiding, and/or rated pvp in 72 hours. Good Luck.

its just dumb to turn off the parts of the game everyone plays for to accomodate for the ultra casual, things can change dont be so scared of intelligent changes

I may not agree with your methods, but I agree with the idea

It was pretty stupid to keep everything locked this long, the casually leveling people can still level with the content being live

Imagine thinking m+ and raiding was “90% of the game”.

seems like a no brainer, but some of you guys will defend blizzard on anything

If you quit an MMO because you can’t do the content you want for a couple weeks after an expansion launch, boy do I have a plant that you should go touch lol

This is such a true statement, this expansion looks very promising, but no one can experience it for 3 weeks. If anything this should convince players to never buy early access again. Absolutely terrible execution.

It’s all about riding hype waves, hype is highest at launch, 3 weeks in no one can raid, pvp, do any end game content worth damn. Hype dies, people leave for the next one.

This is the “not a big deal” that is handled with kid gloves however.

It’s nice to go around and see things without feeling rushed into pvp/keys/raid.

Although I know some key/pvpfriends who are absolutely losing it right now. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

It’s handled with kid gloves because it’s a facade. Those people are still getting left behind, it just doesn’t feel like it for them now. At least, not the average of them.

I’m sure those poor HC players are really suffering letting us casuals have three weeks in 3-6 month patch.

And this is what makes it a really transparent and obvious way of eeking out a few weeks of subs.

Your guild name sounds accurate to your attitude.

I mean at least wow can say they survived for 20 years almost? Compare that to other mmorpgs on the market and yeah…They’re doing something right.

Eh, it doesn’t bother me that much. Early Access bothered me more than M+ gating did.
