With your logic, you might as well Take away our soul ashes/soul cinders, reinstate the cap per week, and only make legendaries crafted this patch upgradable to 292? It’s what you did to conquest/valor.
The 2 months of a new patch is so stupid every cycle.
It was actually implemented to encourage alt play as when a player will cap out on one class, then then would go and farm it on another. But with this being yet another alt unfriendly expansion pack, the plan has backfired now as it is now one of the reasons why players are unsubbing.
There’s 2 reasons for the cap on those currencies.
Prolong seasonal content with a weekly period.
Avoid high ilvl on raid during the first weeks, imagine RWF doing just M+ a lot and then running the raid.
I don’t know about that, the fact that you must complete KSM on each alt i want to target keystones once not multiple times like 9.0.5 with that achievement account wide, it was the best season.
My favorite is when they say they are looking out for the players and that the cap is there so that players don’t spam it and burn themselves out. Makes me laugh every time.
I understand that point, but why should we care about what other people are doing. For most normal players it means maybe upgrading an extra 2 pieces a week, so you don’t feel like you’re wasting hours running mythic + with no loot.
I agree, M+ and Arenas players suffer due to Raid progress, Blizzard has to balance all gear acquisition around impacting the other gameplay, which leads to road blocks for some players that want to spam some specific content.
I don’t know why they don’t release all tiers of raid/raid finder on day one of the patch. The campaign should be fully completable with the only timegate being rep for raid stuff…
It artificially creates an incentive for content tourists to stick around a little longer. It is an archaic system from a long forgotten era way before youtube where people can watch the raid cinematic and skip the raid.
Blizzard…it’s not burnout. We can take mOre than 800 conquest this week. And not no life it.
THat is literally capped out by 250 from 10 kils quest on wg, one kill commander kill in ashran and the 2 solo queue rewards up this week.
2epic, 4 special arena runs. 2 days tops of work even for a casual like me.if they did valor like conquest I got sympathy for the dungeon folk. It’s garbage really.
I am thinking about why it’s useful in the first few weeks. Every raider would have to do keys if they want a spot in a competitive guild. This is already true but only like one-four keys per week, not 50+ that would be required to get full 272.
PvPers would probably be annoyed the first few weeks with the way pvp gear works. If there were no conquest cap either, though, it would be no problem. People who can get to the point where they could upgrade to 272 with valor (ksm) are probably be able to get 1400.
So why change it if it did nothing? They changed it to get a few more weeks out of our subscription. I’m just asking for all the content. My characters progression path has dwindled since 9.1.5 for no reason.
