Blizzard, Thank You For Solo Content

I just wanted to say thank you for adding so much solo content to this expansion. It may not be my favorite of all time, but I have level capped and geared more characters in this expansion than I have in any previous expansion. The fact that I can do a T8 delve and get 684 gear just to be comfortable in heroics and LFR is amazing.

I’ve really enjoyed the open world content, delves, and at least parts of the campaign. But overall, I’ve done more in this expansion in one year than I did in any other expansion in two. Also, if you ever decide to add a catch up bundle at the end of a season to the cash shop, I won’t say no. The “enhanced boost“ that came with the Midnight pre-order was fantastic. 🩷

If it wasn’t for the solo content I wouldn’t be playing at all. I love working toward a mythic set appearance completely solo.

Exactly. We’re not here to go do somebody else’s content. We are here for ourselves and having access to those appearances is nice. We are literally staying out of everybody else’s way, but still able to play the game and do what we want to do.

Delves have been a literal gamechanger for me. As well as just having a myriad of open world content to do. It’s never been easier to go it alone.

Yes! It’s become the norm now that they lock the shadow/void (and therefore coolest) priest sets behind mythic. Well this time I’m getting it! Already got four pieces!

I will say, between TWW opening up solo options, and Midnight offering guild and group content, I’m optimistic we’ll finally have a decent growth spurt in player populace.

100% agree. I’ve been playing since 2009 and was about to give up on the game. Then they started adding quality solo content and I started having fun again. Solo content lets me avoid the “get good” attitude from a lot of the hared core players, and its a relief that I can play the game without making it a full time job.

I’m raiding for the first time since BC, and even entered my very first mythic dungeon. I have to agree, the inclusion of the new solo content has done wonders for the game, and given me the confidence to step outside of my comfort zone. Many thanks!

I love that! I still only do LFR, but at least I am doing that. Solo content has made the game far more enjoyable for me for the first time since Legion.

It removed a lot of the parts of the game I dreaded. I can gear up, have fun, and see the whole story on my own time, at my own pace, and without any conflicts.

Exactly this. When I was younger (I started playing in 2006 at age 31), I had more free time and could commit to a guild and a raid schedule. Now, I play to relax and solo content accomplishes that.

Same. I can only stand rancid player behavior in small bursts, then I have to get away from them for a while to reset.

Delves are great just wish they made it so joinging a que doesnt reset it.

sounds totally sane to me given how badly many players behave in this game.
Some of the vulgar crap said to my wife by two players once they found out she was a female was over the top.

and yeah, as a male, Id MUCH rather prefer messing around with my 50 alts than dealing with juveniles and their rancid behavior in this game.

your assumption is we WANT to meet other people. We arent you. You arent us. Play YOUR game and dont worry about us.

I think youre starting to annoy me with your joke psychobabble nonsense, Sigmund.
This is a video game for us to relax and get some entertainment from…its not your therapy couch, regardless of what you believe

No we won’t. That’s the last thing we want. We’d just level more alts or run old content.

because YOU ARENT having a discussion…YOU are ASSERTING that anyone who plays solo is mentally unhealthy.

that you dont see your foul accusatory behavior here just makes it worse.
YOU are the reason many of us dont want to have friends in this game…you get that, right?

Im just ignoring you now…I can see this nonsense going on all day if I allow it.

I agree with this. In addition to enjoying the solo content I usually set-up projects or goals for each new expansion. In BFA, for example, I went back and maxed out all of my class halls, even the rogue which I suck at playing. This expansion I’m filling in the achievements and collecting pets for BFA solo islands and having fun.

The only people I need to enjoy playing WoW are the developers who are spot on for giving me ways to enjoy the game and staying subscribed.

Yeah, I spend a lot of time playing BG Blitz, a rated solo-queue PvP mode.

My friends all left a long time ago (around MoP) and I had one friend return for DF, but he only lasted a season.

If not for the solo offerings, I’d likely have peaced-out by now.

I work weird and late hours, so I’m not always able to make schedules, and the guilds I’ve been a part of all died too, lol.

I’m just tired of re-applying to guilds and seeing them die each and every expansion, so I stopped and just play my own way.

They are not talking about solo rates bg.

I also do rated blitz. PvP is dead. It is not high end content for many.

Pve is much superior in this game. There is like 1000 pve dps playing to 1 PvP dps playing. It is not even comparable.

What one does in-game isn’t really anyone else’s business.

PvP isn’t as dead as people make it seem.

I do pet battles too btw, lol.

And it’s inferior to other games like Dark Souls or whatever.

Millions more people are playing that, than WoW PvE.

It’s an MMO, people can play however they like- and obviously things change when you are with teammates, you do what benefits the group most.

But WoW is 20 years old at this point, we can’t pretend like there’s only one way to play.

It has to expand options to survive.

Hence housing. Which is pretty much a new genre/pillar coming into WoW.
