Blizzard Suspending Gold Buyers But NOTHING is Done About Botting

You want players making legitimate gold, but doing any sort of gathering or crafting does not make gold. Example, medium leather is a few coppers higher than vendoring.

We can’t compete with all of the bots for gathering or even to kill NPC’s.

Just sell tokens and let us get back to gaming as we are used to.

They’ll get right on it. :+1:

Set up your own bot farm? Profit while at work. Drastic times call for drastic measures.

Just a sign of the times. It’s 2024, and wow is a great sandbox for bot developers.

Get with it or get going grandpa :older_man:

They ban thousands of bots in wave like 200,000 Were banned

So it’s not like they aren’t doing something
But bots will just keep creating accounts

Can’t ban ip address cuz of the lawsuit blizzard lost for invasion of privacy problems.

And well there’s networks to keep it hidden anyways

the problem is that there are hardly any “real bots” left, and most are foreigners with multiple accounts that can actually make a living off selling gold. its depressing and ruins the game

They let the bots build up and then do mass wave bans, this prevents botters from being able to adjust their coding to figure out what exactly got them caught. By banning in mass waves they take out a huge portion of the botters gold farming before they can adjust their code to make the bot less detectible.

If they did incremental daily bans they would never keep up with bot code that gets adjusted to circumvent auto-detection systems.

They do ban bots, you just have to find where they’re farming. I’ve gotten multiple notices that they’ve banned bots I’ve reported.

This. The forums aren’t where the bots are, complaining here does nothing.

Log in, find bots, report them.
