So i have to guess because blizzard can’t ipsis literis violations?
No, you’re not. You know what you did, because you literally listed (at least) one line that you knew Orlyia was referring to.
You’re not fooling anyone.
No, there’s no comprehensive list because players like you try to rules lawyer these things all the time.
You know you did, because you gave a line that Orlyia was likely referring to.
You know what you did, you know why you added extraneous words to the directions you typed, you know why you were punished, and you know directly from a Blizzard employee.
Right now, you’re trying to wiggle out of it, and it’s not going to work.
You’ve said it, right here.
You know exactly what it means. Don’t be coy. You know what you did, either appeal or don’t. Read the CoC again and perhaps turn off chat.
This isn’t going to help your cause either.
Accept the punishment, learn from it, this time.
Stealing this
This is how you get the thread closed, on the most heavily moderated forum ban, and a forum suspension.
Profanity/Cuss/Swear words have been against ToS since 2004, this is not a public square and freedom of speech does not apply here.
Don’t use profanity, and if you don’t think you can refrain from profanity don’t use public chat channels.
Sure that code does not allow consumers to curse and other wise use profanity when they are buying stuff and in someones store or in this case their video game.
You where breaking the code of conduct, breaking the rules of the game. How about not using profanity
They did, your broke the ToS on Profanity.
You are on a fast track to getting this thread closed by Orlyia and possibly a forum suspension. I suggest you cease.
No? Then turn off chat.
But they did.
Right here, in this very thread, 36 minutes ago.
No because you’re trying to lawyer this to see what words will NOT get you flagged by someone for using profanity and getting reported
It is profanity which is against ToS.
Yes it is. It is against the rules to use in chat period.
There is no trying to reason your way out of it. You were reported, a GM looked at said report and found that chat to be in violation, and you were punished accordingly. End of story.
They are about to give you a Forum Suspension if you don’t cease.
The weird part is how we’re getting an extended lesson in law and jurisprudence which clearly means Blizzard can’t enforce their own contractual terms on a willing party to the contract, for what reason?
Let us stipulate that you’ve swayed us over, OP. What does that change?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nothing said here has any impact on the course of an account action. Appeals are handled strictly by GMs working from appeal tickets, and there are none whatsoever here in this forum. Likewise, the brilliant legal arguments won’t reach the eyes of those GMs since they don’t read these forums, and wouldn’t make any difference if they did, because appeals are strictly about reexamining the internal evidence of the infraction, not arguing your case. And from what the Support Forum Agent says, the logs have you dead to rights.
The only reason this thread is allowed to exist is in hopes of educating you about the Social Contract, the Terms of Service, and the account discipline process, and perhaps allow you to learn from your earlier mistakes.
Yeah sure, stream to show people you’re breaking the rules. It’s clearly in the ToS to not use profanity, so you have no legal case.
Hopefully a blue will come back soon and sort this mess out as it’s just going in circles and needs to be shutdown.
You should drop the link in here, so we can watch.
Aa amusing as that would be, let’s not entice the OP into another infraction (since advertising third-party media is also forbidden in the forums.)
Broxikor, I suggest you stop, at this point you are trolling.
Ironically, the line you admitted to - while indeed a violation, isn’t the specific one reported.
Same vein, same word - it was other instances of it that were and nothing was abbreviated.
We don’t allow profanity. Use it, get reported - you are going to be actioned. It’s that simple.
