Blizzard stuff all the sudden only runs if I am an administrator?

So been playing wow on same PC no problems ever and then today out of the blue I get disconnected and can’t get back in, battlenet times out even the battle net website won’t load for me , the only fix I found is that I have to run it as an administrator then it works, then the website battle net also starts working

What could have caused this when I didn’t touch anything on my PC or change anything and how do I get it back to normal ?

I should add I did put raider IO on my machine today if that matters at all

It’s likely requiring admin rights due to some kind of folder permissions issue that might have changed. Has your PC recently gotten the 24H2 update? If so, that might have screwed them all up. Microsoft has been slowly rolling the update out lately.
