Because they completely rearranged the talent/spell/abilities system.
If retail were to lose LFD/R, DS, and all its equivalents, and then implemented in classic, even you still wouldn’t want to play retail any more than I do…
And I seriously doubt you would stop playing classic just because these features were implemented.
